Hence the introduction of Zombie tricks and gravestones to trade off two cards for one.
While I agree that the Strikethrough trait is incredibly powerful, even without boosting it, zombies have the benefit of countering whatever defense the plants put up, no matter how boosted. Plants have many boosting and strategic tactics, while the Zombies can bounce, destroy, and become more resilient through tricks and the benefit of hiding in a gravestone until revealed.
It's incredibly frustrating for you to build up an impenetrable plant with several cards only to be destroyed, weed sprayed, or bounced to revert back to those pathetic stats with a single card, not to mention that deadly zombies can one shot anything unprotected through a simple bonus attack or moving a protected plant towards certain doom.
Plants have an advantage in one way, where healing, strikethrough and team up restricts the onslaught, while zombies have the advantage of being unpredictable and sudden, with plentiful bonus attacks, deadly, and the surprise of a gravestone.
To deal with Strikethrough, try bringing a couple ofdebuffers and destroyers, such as Nibble, Bouncing tricks/zombies, Land Scapers, Locust Swarms, and Rocket Science(If he gets a little too big).
I feel that giving zombies the possibility of team up will result in zombies gaining another advantage over the plants, creating an imbalance between the two(should plants gain something else the zombies have in return?), but Popcap added strikethrough to the zombie side, so I don't know, maybe some kind of meatshield for zombies like Camel Zombies.
- 9 years agothat is true but wouldn't more experienced players be able to predict what comes out from the Grave depending on how much it costs?

it doesn't tell you the gravestone cost until the plant's turn is over. So it is not that easy to predict.
zombies have deadly, in fact zombies can combo deadly with strikethrough. I mean team up is as fair as deadly imo, so it is basically a wash.
edit: forgot to mention. Zombies have better creature stats in general than plants, and they have frenzy, so that's how they balance out team up really.
