The State of PVZ GW2
Dear EA Support Team, I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the current state of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 which I feel is echoed throughout the community. Wh...
Still heard nothing from EA or its reps.
When a game is being sold and people are being charged for it, it is necessary to ensure that the game is playable. Whether or not the game developers have abandoned it, if EA is still selling it, they have a responsibility to support it.
As a paying customer, I believe it is a moral obligation for EA to provide this support. I paid for the game, so I expect to receive what I paid for. However, EA is currently failing to fulfill this obligation.
Even if the game is old, it does not excuse EA from providing support for it, especially when they are still selling it. If EA wishes to continue to profit from this game, they must take responsibility for ensuring that it is playable and provide support.
EA, I urge you to respond
Could not agree more with the above posts
I downloaded this game from steam after years of not playing it since playing on console, I had no prior expectations that the game would be as active and have regular updates like it did when I last played (over 4-5 years ago). However as a bare minimum I did not expect to find the game in such a broken or upsetting state as I did, when it was first downloaded the multiplayer servers were down for multiple weeks so I was effectively robbed of my money for a semi-functional game which did not deliver what was promised in the product description. Further, since the multiplayer servers have been back online I still have the same feeling of being robbed due to the absurd level of hacking. About half of the matches I load into are completely unplayable due to hackers which change all players into different characters and ruin the multiplayer experience which was so loved by tons of players.
I hope EA is actually listening to the community and are planning to deal with this MAJOR issue, perhaps by adding an anti-cheat software?
If this issue is further neglected I (and likely many others) will definitely be reluctant to buy any other EA titles due to their clear lack of respect for customers and the games they actually put effort into creating.
Dear EA Support Team,
It has come to my attention that my previous message regarding the issues in Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has been acknowledged by EA, as evidenced by the fact that @EA_Illium gave it XP. However, despite this recognition, EA have chosen to ignore the concerns raised and have not even bothered to provided any response let alone a resolution.
This silence is not only disrespectful but also reflects a lack of commitment to your player base and the game itself. We, the community, have put our trust and investment in your product, and it is disheartening to see that trust disregarded.
There is little more that I can say at this point without repeating myself. EA knows it at this point, they know what they need to do. The ball is in your court EA, what next?
Update: NOTHING
Nothing has changed, no contact has been made. Not even a respectful acknowledgement.
Disappointing but expected at this point.
But I refuse to let these issues die, there are plenty of people writing of problems in this forum. I encourage others to use this thread to write out your detailed experiences and complaints.
I am mad at the apparent irresponsibility of EA. Charging the fanbase somewhere in the range of twenty dollars, and still not addressing the state of the matter that WE NEED UPDATES. On the other side, EA sees clear possibility and success in games such as FIFA and Plants vs Zombies 2. They may come up with an answer soon. But it does not excuse Electronic Arts from their main business model of making small in-game things costly, And they need to update the game!
