Interesting that you guys are pushing infinity mode. Sorry you probably dont want to hear this, but personally I really dont like it, and I have been somewhat critical of it in these forums. To me it seems like an end game mode (idea copied from one game in particular) that has been tacked on and is very exclusive in nature. This worries me because the rest of the game goes out of its way to include everybody. GW is one of thew most family freindly game out there, and I think infinity mode is anything but family friendly. Because of my circumstances I generally solo most stuff. Infinity mode is pretty hard to do (considering you have to do it more than once to acquire the legendary characters) particularly by yourself. In answer to you question my highest wave so far is 20 had about 14000 shards (from memory). On level 21at the very start I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and lost all my life in about 3 seconds. Thats another thing that pisses me of about infinty mode, there are no second chances. My suggestions for improvement (for somebody with my skill level and play style) 1) make it so you can save shards between games 2) give the mode matchmaking 3) allow AI partners I sort of hope that you may at a later stage make acquiring the legendary characters available in some other way. I'm a completionist - level 313 from first game only missing one achievement - so I'm happy to work for stuff. Given the exclusivity of the rewards in infinity mode unfortunately there is going to some stuff that I may miss out of in GW2 - but it wont be for the lack of trying.

I agree with the folks here, Infinity time is by far the very worstthing in PVZ2.Hiding 6 characters behind this twaddle is brutal.My young lad wants the characters and couldn't do this and as a gamer of 35 years game playing experience i assumed (wrongly) it would be relatively easy to do.i wasn't familiar with the "horde" type concept but quickly learnt from others in these forums.1. leave your shards on the floor.2. run away and then run away some more. 3. Floaties are really bad news and waves with a floatie in are also bad news. 3 waves in a row with floaties in will mess you up and IF you have any time left you better not let the King out of your sight.4 The Bean wearing a cloak is the most annoying character to meet in this zone, BAR NONE!By far the biggest annoyance is the amount of time it takes to get NOTHING (well some coins but they are worthless) 30 mins or more wasted.i have really suffered and got all 3 zombies and now have the first plant. 2 more characters to get and i won't be back here ever again 🙂

I honestly don't want to play this mode too. Simply because i completely dislike endless modes. I opened this mode for both sides in 1 day, and i suicided at wave 5 simply because i didn't wan to play, and i was really angry when on next day i found that to play that mode i have to pay 5 freakin stars. Also there is no normal matchmaking for that mode, and playing that mode is hight chance to get nothing. So i probaly open all chest in backyard and only then i probably start trying to get party chars.I WANT to have all characters open in my collection, but because i don't have unicorn chomper, i already don't have way to get full collection. (Jeez i ended playing GW1 on 120 lvl, takes eternity to get 313 lvl). So i don't have much courage in opening partys.

I pretty much HATE Infinity time. I don't care that it's there, if others want to play it fine, what I hate is that if I want to get every achievo in this game and all characters I HAVE to play it. And the part that's making me hate it the most, is that it seems impossible for me to do that because every one of the last 4 times I've played the game, it's crashed on me!! It takes a long time playing that mode to get up to 25k shards and reach level 25, and every time I got close to it, the game freaking crashed! I'm so pissed off now, I don't even know when or if I'll go back to it. I'm just saving up my stars to open the 200 chest now, I'm tired of wasting them on Infinity and have nothing to show for it!

I don't mind the rest but I, too, would love to save shards. In fact, that's how I originally thought it worked. . . .

Infinity mode is terrible and I will just skip the party variants. Best reward was 15k coins.

i haye infinity with a passion, wasting 45mins only to be killed and getting nothing... shard saving would be a blessing

From what I can tell you get the same number of enemies whether your 1 or 2 player, so playing with a friend makes it incredibly easy to hit the 25k needed for infinity chest. I've heard likewise for 3&4 players. So it seems that infinity mode was balanced for 2 and 4 players. Other then that some general tips.

1. Don't just blindly run away kite the gnomes and nemesis in a circle so the groups merge together and every chance you can hit them coming around the corner do it.
2. Anytime you have a chance to use your big weapon either rockets or big laser on either a floatie , big gnome/nemesis, or large group of gnomes do it, but as soon as they're done or your taking heavy damage just cancel it and dash out or to next group to restart the cool down asap.
3. If your working with a partner or team communicate. Say I'm getting top floatiend or careful red anomaly behind you or lots of shards down here. Communication in a group is so helpful and makes a world of a difference.

When you play with more than one player, does each player get the max shards? Or are the shard counts divided by 2 for 2 players, by 3 for 3 players, and so on?
