Meh, I do it all the time because I think it adds a bit of humour to vanquishing someone. I particularly like doing it after I've vanquished someone while capturing in Turf Takeover, taunting them in their own garden.
It's really not the same as teabagging and GW has never been a game to take seriously. As has been pointed out, Popcap actually encourages you to taunt victims in GW2 and I would welcome a Taunt Confirmed mode!

the taunts were obviously added to the game by popcap as a humorous element. I view this the same as caps lock, if someone is getting offended or mad at this then it is their problem. I just laugh if I see a streamer get irritated by someone taunting. it is really a super stupid thing to get irritated over or even feel the need to discuss.
that being said, I have taunted in gw2 once. in gw1, I usually only taunted if I killed a friend. I usually don't even think about taunting and you usually end up getting killed as you cant cancel the animation if you start getting attacked.

Exactly. It is all in fun. It actually feels like it lost something when they give you only two taunts at a time. If you notice the AI taunts you on kills. I laugh every time that happens.
