Unable to invite friends - Origin Overlay error

I am unable to invite friends to play a match game in Garden Ops.  I have the invite friends key, but when I hit it I get the message "Please enable Origin In Game.  This feature uses Origin In Game,...

I was able to get a little further with the process.  I have Raptr, Evolve, and AMD Gaming Evolved running usually.  I closed all these programs and was able to get somewhat closer to a solution.  I was able to see a few people.  I am going to disable the firewall (to remove another barrier) and I am going to look at the other computers that I am unable to see.  There is a chance that they are running similar software as above.  Wish me luck!!
