I won't be renewing my membership again after 20 + years on POGO. New games are money oriented and can't progress on any of them unless you pay for gems/pogis. Always throw one of the new games into the challenges and frankly the majority of them are so boring I can't/won't spend hours on them just to win a badge. What does a badge give you anyhow?? Now sunsetting my favorite game Quinn's Aquarium. Canasta is was fun but now POGO controls the cards each player get so no one can really advance much after the 1100 ranking. I know that if I get to play with a 800 ranked player POGO will throw the red threes and all wild cards to the lower ranked player. Challenges on games are gone. Sorry but really miss the old POGO.
I agree with you totally! There's no point in gaining badges - who cares, anyway? - and I used to enjoy creating avatars that reflected my real life, but there's no point in that anymore, either. I joined Pogo when it was first created (somewhere near 25 years ago) and it was very enjoyable. Now the only games I like are Jungle Gin and Canasta with an occasional foray into a few - very few - of the other games. Both of the ones I enjoyed the most were discontinued, Texas Hold'em and Jewel Academy. Texas Hold'em was always full and everyone loved it. I loved Jewel Academy because it required thought to solve the puzzles. Zip - both gone. The games used to be challenging and fun but once Pogo decided to get greedy the games became almost impossible to win and some like the search games required that you "buy" episodes with gems to even start. I'm almost done, too but have kept renewing in hopes of some of the games improving. I refuse to buy "gems" to play a game so I mostly stick to the harder card games. Pogo says they are bringing back Texas Hold'em but I'm afraid they will figure out some way to screw it up and charge gems to play. One thing that is holding me is that I prefer Pogo's graphics to those on other websites but those don't offset the gems and boring games. Finally, Pogo makes it very hard to report cheaters and sometimes even hard to know if someone has sneaked a bot in to play.

hwdowl I never played Texas Hold'em much myself, but I do hope their new version will be comparable to the old one! I will say that I've seen it's supposed to be a different version that's more similar to the likes of Solitaire Home Story and the other story-based games 😧 I guess we'll have to wait and see how it measures up.

To me they ruined the new Texas Hold'em. Nothing like the old famous one. Why pogo insists on retiring our favorite games or changing them is beyond me. Leave them alone we like them the way they originally were. They seem to be turning some games into foolish child like games. We are adults. If I want all the toy like games I'll join romper room. I'm in Canada. I pay considerably more & I am disgusted at the latest 3 games that will will gone on April 2nd. Three of my favorite games. No matter how much we complain we all know Pogo doesn't give a **bleep**. The bottom line is all they want is our MONEY! 💰They don't care about our concerns in these forums at all. Just a waste of time to ask, wait for a reply, never get a reply, nothing gets corrected & the ball just keeps rolling away. After all these years of paying & playing I am just about done with it all. Pogo doesn't care. There was a time you could chat with someone & get real help. They would correct your problem while you waited on chat or have it corrected quickly in hours or a day. You could email them & get a reply quickly. Gone are those days & things are just getting worse every day with the games. POGO WAKE UP! YOUR LOSING YOUR LONG TIME CUSTOMERS FAST!
