EA simply does not care about their paying player base as sad as that is to write. They do nothing about cheaters and reports. They do nothing about bugs and glitches. They have no plans on fixing anything ever or they would have by now. This game returned in 2020 right?
People need to stop paying for anything to actually happen and most will not do that and even then that may not work. So they just rely on those people and screw everyone else pretty much.
I used to love this site and canasta especially but it is garbage now full of browser scripters exploiters, bugs and over all unfair gameplay systems.
It sucks I just resubbed last week and completely regret doing so.

Man I feel you. I just came back a week ago after leaving when they made the switch and canasta was no longer a thing. It was so much fun then and seemed a lot more fair even tho cheaters were very much a thing then you could still progress. I am lucky if I win 5 out of 10 games and I cant break 1050. I am also not a bad player i was red/orange back in the day. Cheaters are still very much a big pproblem but I just cant seem to fully figure out what people are using other than browser scripts. All the old ones no longer work due to well not java based lol.
But everything you have pointed out is exactly the problem. This game is no longer fair or fun and its horrible to play. I regret resubbing. I will also be ending my sub after it runs out.
It's just so sad to see how EA couldn't give a crap about its player base and its games to allow all this to continue for so long and not even attempt a fix. They can sit in here and tell us all the BS they want to about how they are listening and apparently fixing things but we all know for a fact they have done nothing and will continue to do nothing. Im highly disgusted and disappointed. But really cant expect any different from EA these days.
Sorry, not sorry. It's true.

I have had this several times with this player and I have a screen shot - I ended up losing points and they were the ones that left the match on the last hand! This is very frustrating!

I also feel cheated with Canasta. I have been a Pogo member for over 10 years and I am frustrated with the way players can get away with this. They are losing so they just sit there until the timer runs out, but the button to extend or not doesn't appear. In the past when a player left the game you had the option to continue the game with a bot and if you won, your rank goes up. Now when this happens, the rank stays the same. I don't see where I can report certain players. Where is this option? Pogo needs to address this issue ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only action is to wait until EA ends the game for inactivity. That works - if you are on a PC or iPod - but not so well for phones. There SHOULD BE a way to report a player for abandoning an active game. If they keep doing that, then EA can restrict them from going onto multiplayer games.

I have been playing Canasta for 20 plus years. In the last year I have not been able to win hardly any games. It seems those that play in the green seats get the wins. My rating is way down so no one wants me to play in their games. If I get to 1,000 it's rare. I can be winning a game and when it comes to the last hand, the opponents get the 4 red 3's and all the wilds. How can this be fixed. We pay a lot of money to play your games, I would think there could be something done that the game would work right. Also, not a fan of all these new stupid games that you have recently added. And this new poker game is even worse. Granted these new games are big money makers for you. Guess I could cancel Pogo out

I agree. It use to be my favorite game. But there should be a time limit on throwing down a 2 on the deck. There is no way you can win, when someone holds hostage the deck and then picks up 30 cards. There should be a way to automatically remove the 2 off the deck after maybe 10 cards. To make the game fair. Plus, they wait for the last second to throw down a hand. So much for a quick game if they do it all the rounds they are playing.

I play canasta and a lot of times when I am winning the other player lets the time run down to 0 and that person just stays there and does not play after a new hand has started and my rating drops when I leave the room because they won't play. Their rating goes up it is not fair. This needs to be fixed if time runs out that person should lose.

I’ve been a Canasta and card-game player since the early 2000s and truly enjoyed the game for years—not just for winning, but for the community and strategy. That’s why this feels like a real goodbye.
Over time, I’ve noticed repeated in-game patterns that don’t feel like normal glitches or bad luck. They tend to appear once a match becomes competitive and quickly shift the game in ways that make fair play impossible.
I’m not here to argue or accuse anyone. Complaining hasn’t changed anything, so I’m sharing what I’ve personally observed to help other players recognize the signs for themselves.
Cheat Code Patterns I’ve Observed
- Refreshing the game can still cause you to lose points, even if you were winning
- Closing pop-ups or hard-clicking out does not reliably protect your score
- One player suddenly receives most or all of the wild cards
- You’re left with very few wild cards (often one to three)
- Face cards and supporting cards stop appearing, making the game noncompetitive
Common Screens That Appear
- “You were disconnected due to inactivity”
- “Continue playing with robots”
- “The player has forfeited the game”
- Sometimes refreshing keeps your points
- Other times you’re removed and still lose them
- In some cases, a forfeit screen appears after the game ends
Gameplay Red Flags
- No sound during the opening deal
- Opponents frequently receive a Red 3 at the start
- Once you begin winning:
- Cards glow yellow
- Actions become delayed
- Melding lags or stops responding
Membership Farewell
Because these issues have continued, I’ve decided to stop playing. When my current membership expires, I won’t be renewing.
I’m sharing this simply as a heads-up for others. If something feels off during a match, it probably is.
