Merge Academy Sticker purchase

I got a red ribbon package with five cards in it. Three of them were 1 star and one was a 2 star.

That is 4 cards. Was the 5th one a new 5 star sticker you didn't already own? If so, that is all they promise.

In going to get that screenshot I absentmindedly clicked to redeem 300 stars. :( Here is what I got:

At least when you use stars from the Star Vault you know you will get a card you don't already have (assuming things work correctly, which I realize is a big leap of faith). If you 'earn' a red pack in the game, you will get at least one 5 star card, but it may be a duplicate of one you already have.
