Repeatedly Shorted on Scrabble Timer/Time Runs Out Too Fast

When playing Scrabble, I keep getting msg that "time has expired", or that "opponent has extended my time", and it's only been 5 seconds, or 15 seconds, or just returned from intermission. Although...

Hey there, @susieqself.

The timer can be set as low as 45 seconds, however it sounds like it's ending sooner than that when you run across this issue. What value is the timer set to in your table's game settings?
