Uninvited "Friends"

Are you referring to your friends list in Origin? What are you seeing when you try to remove them? Does it give you any error messages at all?

You posted your thread on the "General Questions" board on Answers HQ, but you didn't specify what game or product you were having trouble with. I just needed to confirm what exactly you were having trouble with so I could move your post to the right place.

@EA_KentI owe you an apology. I've gotten my sites mixed up. This isn't for Pogo. However, Pogo IS having problems w/the friends list. Some people aren't able to find their friends. They just disappear. So, some assistance is still needed.
Sorry about the misunderstanding.

BTW, I DID reach out to EA Help. They told me to come here.

First off, thanks for the assist, @EA_Kent, and for helping get it to the right place. 🙌

I took a look at your recent cases and the last one I see is a Mahjong Sanctuary error. Do you have a EA Help case number for the Friends bug you reported? I'd love to take a look at the status of the report.

There are a few things you can try to start:

• Try clearing your browser cache. If it is old or outdated information being shown, this can pull the latest data to ensure that everything is up to date on the page.
• Try another supported browser. This will also rule out any cache / cookie issues, as well as if there's an issue with how that browser itself may be displaying the page.

Can you give those a try and let me know how it goes in removing these odd ghost friends? I look forward to hearing from you.

In terms of Pogo, the friends list doesn't update instantly for players joining a game, but through some testing of my own, it does update after a minute or so.

For HTML5 games on Pogo, it won't mention what chat room they're in, but when you activate chat in the game, if the friend also has chat active, you can see what room they're in from the room list, as it highlights which rooms have friends in them. However, if they have chat turned off, you won't see them in a room.

In terms of the original post, which game or service are you having difficulty with? Are you having problems with Origin's friend list?
