Feedback on Service 2.0 Update
This is probably the WORST and most disruptive service update ever! Suddenly my city and its regions, carefully and lovingly designed over many years, is no longer functioning. Services, such as fire and police stations, hospitals, schools, are suddenly insufficient. I have paid for these services and now they are no longer working. This is not only unacceptable but ILLEGAL, no matter what currency was used to pay for them.
How could the game designers not have known that this would occur and anger players? I expect better, much better! First and foremost, the game should be returned to its level before service 2.0 until EA has figured out how provide an upgrade that is actually an improvement.
It would also be timely to improve the absolutely terrible traffic animations! Cars driving way too fast, through one another and across bridges as if they were standing on the steps of an escalator. Oncoming trains drive through each other on single tracks, and streetcars (trams) do not cross intersections unless all intersecting streets have streetcars. That means that all street in a city have to be streetcar anvenues. That is ridiculous.
Sim City is in the first place a city simulator. EA, focus on making is a good one!
With this update SCBI is no longer 1st (it was) but rather now a disaster. Whether than was accidental or deliberate we the player community are unlikely to find out. Global City is better.
If/when it finally hits me (a) I’ll stop playing and concentrate on Global City (b) I’ll spend all my time fixing my cities and not doing Contest of Mayors so they will lose any money I would have spent. As for the seasonal currencies challenges and album collections I’ve given up hope.
This update, if deliberate, has weighed the loss of income from players leaving verse the increase in income from new/long term players with money to burn and they think they will get what they want. If accidental then they had better hurry up and fix it. Personally I think they will lose income overall which is a shame for a game that was (past tense) the best city builder by a mile but is now a shining example of how a good game can go bad so quickly
