2nd Place in Megaloplis League - NO PRIZE !

Looking for help, and wondering if anyone else has encountered this.   I finished in 2nd Place in Megaloplis League Contest of Mayors.  The race was close at the end with 5 people actively trying to achieve 2nd and 3rd.  I was watching the scores right until the end of the session.  When the clock expired, the screen flashed, and then briefly indicated that I was now in "Neighborhood league".  This is the time when the Prizes (1,000 SimCash, 100 platinum keys, 7 cheetah tokens) should have been rewarded.   That didn't happen.   I checked the scoreboard again and it still showed my Megalopolis League results, with me in 2nd place.    I exited the game, came back, nothing.   

Whatever is supposed to trigger the prize is not firing.   My SimCash balance still does not have the additional 1,000 SimCash.   The only change in that was the +120 SimCash from our Club's Legendary Chest that I opened later.   I happened to take a screenshot before COM ended, which shows my cash balance at that time.   And of course I have more screen captures from afterward.  I sent a support ticket with an explanation (and those screens) and support explained that even though the rewards didn't appear, "the rewards has been already added and you can resume the game-play in usual order".   So that response was entirely inaccurate.  The level 1 support person didn't even understand my explanation, or review my evidence.  

I've been competing in these weekly for many seasons, with finishes ranging from 1st on down.  I've never had an issue collecting the rewards... until this week.  Competing for the top prizes in these contests requires a significant investment of time, but the rewards are also significant (1,000 SimCash buys a lot of war cards).   Knowing that a possible outcome is to receive nothing is pretty disappointing.

    Hello,

    That is really unfortunate. I found this blog post from May-June here where someone had a similar issue. The post says that the support team says you should get it by the start of the next contest. (Fingers crossed that’s true) Unfortunately many players in that thread said they didn’t receive it. Hopefully you get it before next Contest but otherwise I would send a new ticket politely restating your issue and maybe they can fix it for you.

    @hotdog9wiki Thanks for reading and responding to my issue. The next COM started last night, and unfortunately nothing change on my balances, so the prize appears to be lost. Hopefully I can get someone on support to actually understand what happened here.

    I also read about your issue and I totally understand your dissatisfaction. In order to prevent this from happening again - Did you do anything differently last contest than you have ever done before?

    Also, have you been demoted from Megalopolis League last week to Neighborhood this week? Does your Global Trade HQ appear to have high bulk items for sale, especially Dr. Vu parts?

    Thanks for hearing me out, and for the input.   I was not demoted, I'm still in Megalopolis league.  That "Neighborhood" thing was a brief glitch that occurred right after the contest timer hit zero, and I'm certain it IS the reason why my rewards didn't get applied.   This was a pretty typical week, and I've won various COM prizes (1st on down) many many times, and always received them.  Global Trade HQ had the typical amount of stuff, but I can't imagine why that would affect COM rewards.

    Meanwhile, here's the response I get from support "we have checked with our team and they have confirmed that rewards were added to the city".   So that's entirely wrong, and I've tried to show as much evidence as I can.  The reward should have been 1,000 SimCash.  I had 799 before the contest ended.    My SimCash balance hasn't exceeded 1,000 in 5 days, which they should easily be able to confirm (if they can't, their systems are pathetically bad).   And yet that's the response I get.   How aggravating.  I swear nobody has even investigated the specific situation - I'm just getting canned responses.  The solution to prevent this from happening again does not appear to exists, because EA won't even admit that it happened.

    Update:  as expected, support is no help at all.   The only response I get is insistence that "the server applied the rewards".    Well, this game has a "client" application too !    And the client app failed to add the rewards to my balance.   Given the dwindling player base on this fading title, you would think they would be more helpful.
