Please close the game. Shut if off.

There has been overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding seasonal currency, as in, nobody wants it.

But it appears, seasonal currency is here to stay, and I am not sticking around for it.

My feedback for the game is this: just close the game. You're going to lose hoards of players, me my three cities are out.

Thanks for surfacing this thread again. It's actually unimaginable how much this game has transformed in just six months and somehow, it’s gotten way worse with the Service 2.0 update and the new Santa season mechanics.

I personally quit at the start of the Viking season. I used to be addicted, so I actually have to thank EA. They cured my addiction by making the game so stressful and giving me such a heavy sense of "unachievability" that I just walked away.

I've decided to quit forever too, after six years of intense playing, I've seen it's impossible to keep on when it's not funny anymore. I've been addicted to this game, but not enjoying it, only feeling pushed to complete challenges and earn buildings, but feeling totally unhappy for the waste of time, letting aside many things in life. This got me hooked as long as I could obtained the prizes with my effort. Once EA has decided to give prizes only when you spent hundreds of euros, I don't find it pleasant anymore. They've been making it harder and harder: more shops, more items, useless market, absurd producing tasks in COM, and finally, impossibility to get the egyptian hospital, deincentivating the rest of aims in this season.

I had already bought the premium pass, as I've always done, but this time I haven't completed all tiers. It's simply so nasty, disgusting, vomiting...expending hours in this stressing game just to find out you can't even get the only thing that really moves you for a building game: buildings!, that I simply have lost all interest in this game. It's frustrating and it's destroying my life.

They' ve announced in this forum lots of new changes and a mountain of new tasks... I won't even upgrade the game.  EA sucks!

  • I see a lot of people complaining about the increasing difficulty imposed in order to complete tasks or events lately. It’s clear that they are trying to get more paying customers, and even if they succeed, their tarnished reputation from such an obvious cash grab attempt will cost them more in fan base support than it’s worth monetarily.

AND, not only was it nearly impossible to complete the current event without paying, after installing the latest update it says the next Contest will be in 22 hours, which means there are no tasks available to continue/complete the Limited time event (Classics - Timeless Sands) which ends... you guessed it, in 22 hours. So now the only way to keep going is to make purchases that include pink plumbobs 🤡

  • Bwahahahaha Just about an hour to go in the Mayor’s Contest Megalopolis league, and there’s people with less than 10,000 plumbobs on the leaderboard. Should be a nice wake up call for EA. I’ve been looking forward to play every day since I’ve started playing, but for the past week it’s been like… bleeeeh. I even missed the current Design event, and I’m usually in the top 5. Players are loosing interest big time…

I’ve been playing the contest for years but now I have completely lost interest.  The rewards are abysmal.   If we still got 1500 sim cash it might be worth it, but not the way it is now.

I have been playing this game for about six years and cannot justify spending any more money on it.

I was buying Mayor's passes for years, satisfied with amount of awards with the purchase price.  Goals were not impossible...things were good.

I believe it was 18 months ago when the downward spiral began with the halving of the sim cash award upon completing the Season of Contest of Mayors.  Then the bottom fell out with season currency and near impossible weekly event tracks.

EA has decided to cater to big spending players now.  There are a few global players that buy everything to have everything.  They will be the ones completing everything.  You will see them with their premium towers and their Sandstorm Pyramids.

And even if I could play all week, caps on progress have been established that makes it harder to get that final halved sim cash reward.

I get EA/Track 20 is a business, and they need to make money.  But the game needs players to have clubs work and maintain some sort of word of mouth that the game is fun to play.  That is certainly in jeopardy now.

Just a reminder, the Apple App store allows players to rate the game.  Let them know your opinions good or bad.

  • They make so much money from this game that these complaints will just go right over their heads.

BTW I completed the Kyoto season in record time without making any additional purchases other than the season pass and VU passes. It's not impossible, it's just different and there are obviously those who dislike change. Everyone can't be kept pleased all of the time.

I do still maintain that we're being ripped off when accumulated seasonal currency is just allowed to expire at the end of a season. If it can't roll over it should be converted. We played the game and earned that currency.

  • Bringing this thread back up for visibility. I think given the disaster this update has been, and the unwillingness of certain parties to admit wrong decisions and roll back the update. I see this as the only viable path forward. The game should just be closed - EA doesn't even understand it's own players. That is incredibly sad.

  • They don't care, they just want to hear the moos from the cashcows sending them money.

I think they are doing an excellent job of driving the cash cows away. I'm really enjoying watching everything implode metaphorically.
