I agree with everyone here. The cost/benefit equation is completely out of order as far as Neo items, production and properties are concerned. As 15+ year player of EA/Maxis games, it's the usual pattern ... eventually they wreck it!!
As a side comment, I'm now not getting any items when clicking on my City thought bubbles, and the Epic tokens now appear randomly instead of all at once. I have 26 epics and only collected 18 before there were no more to be seen ... they turned up later, although by then I had lost count!
Time to move on.

I had the same problem with my epic tokens not showing up. After 3 attempts to contact someone at EA, customer support said the problem had to go to a different department, one that handled more complex problems. That was two days ago,and I still havent heard from them. I first reported the problem the day of the Omega update. It appears that my tokens have returned, do not know if it was the result of anything they did.
Still getting no 'gifts' from thought bubbles. Is it an Omega issue, or a result of just getting to Level 59?
Time to contact Support, I think.

Nope not connected to your level. I am at level 64 and I lost my thought bubble gifts immediately after Omega update.

I'm posting on their FB page. They seem to take a bit of interest there! At least people get some responses there ... this Forum seems completely ignored ☹️.
- It takes waaaaay too long. It's too hard to earn neo cash. And the only "regular" items I get is plain wood, metal, and easy to make items. Not even anything good after spending 375776 hours and 7000$$$??
Here's proof that one can conquer the massive task that is Omega. Here are my first 4 Omega buildings, accomplished at a cost of hundreds of simcash, thousands of NeoSims, many refreshes of the required upgrade items, some luck, an upgrade of storage and many hours...The one on the left has a really cool sphere that revolves on the top and all four buildings are connected with a sidewalk that you can see sims walking on. Curiosity was my motivation for doing this, bankruptcy and complete financial ruin would be the obstacles to do more...LOL
And how much cash did you dump to get to this fantastic state?

Yeah i also found that 7k sim money is to much for like 1 OMGEA Item
i had some luck to get 2 or 3 but can it be like less or we can choose how much OMGEA Items we like

I think EA is doing what they've always done. Trying to make an addition that keeps the game interesting and keeps the players engaged. A lot of the complaining I see is due to impatience.
This is my Omega "district" to date. I've spent 10$ bucks because I wanted my items quickly. I could have waited but over extended and needed drones and pieces. I have two labs in other places for a total of three so I can keep the items rolling in.
The distribution of items is a bit off. I'm ending up with too much of one item and not even getting the opportunity to buy others. My bank needs to grow because the Control Net and Drones get exponentially pricier as you buy more. So WAITING for the right ones to come up in the amount I need them in is annoying.
Platinum keys are still the thing that makes me the most anxious. I really only get mad at this game when I find something unattainable. In the current form I don't see myself getting Willis Tower for another two years. For the amount I play and the amount I'm willing to spend (not 7000$....Jesus. Are you texting about this from your yacht?) the Platinum keys have too much randomness for me too commit.With a Free game, it's not surprising that EA try to earn real money from the impatient people. We live in the "I want it NOW" generation. But happily, being considerably older than most people here, I'm quite content to wait or even not bother with some things. I would just like it to work properly!
- I agree with all on the thread, this Omega release is frustrating. So much so I thought I'd just delete the Omega stuff until I had my city under control. Then after I deleted 4 'active' homes, I realised I couldn't delete the 3 waiting for the first upgrade, but I no longer had any way to generate Neo-Simoleans anymore to use Neo-Mall to buy the upgrade items I needed. I'm stuck with 450 N-Simoleans and no way to upgrade the 3 omega homes or the omega lab & other buildings. Disappointing!
-also try to refresh the order on all 3 homes and since the first refresh, all 3 only want a jet pack, no matter how many times they are refreshed. 😡May I humbly offer some suggestions ...
😇 allow OMEGA labs to be bulldozed outright (all of them)
(b) allow OMEGA research center to be bulldozed outright
(c) remove from the NeoMall items that can either be manufactured or bought at the Global Trade HQ
(d) remove from OMEGA research center the generation of items that can either be manufactured or bought at the Global Trade HQ
(e) allow any property building (of any type) to be bulldozed even when it is prompting for an update to be applied
P.S. also allow the OMEGA storage facility to be bulldozed outright.
Why the NeoMall offers anything that we can manufacture ourselves is totally beyond me.
