What are the Popsicles for?

Has anyone figured out wha's the point in earning ICE POP? (CM: Edited to add more context to thread title)

    Hi cr3vez​,

    Popsicles can be used for completing new quests, which grant Snowflakes rewards. You can then exchange Snowflake Coins in the Seasonal Currency Showcases for limited-time buildings and special items.

      You use the Popsicles to complete the new quests that appear in the "Chicago Missions".  The missions will ask you to collect the popsicles to help cool down your Sims and complete the tasks. Once you complete the mission, you'll receive Snowflake Coins.

    This is not a solution! You've regurgitated what is says in the game. They do absolutely nothing.
