Will blocking a club member prevent them from purchasing from my depot?

I’ve blocked a. Club member for this reason, taking items that have been put up for others who have asked for that item. Also not contributing to the conversation and just being a pain. Deleted said club member and blocked.
I think that blocking would only hide the messages so that I would not see the messages posted by the blocked person.
Usually request to return the snatched item is sufficient. However, when even warning that the behaviour is called stealing does not work, the thief disrupts the helpful dynamics of the club. I was very happy when the thief was removed from the club by the vicepresident.
