Workflow Process --- Operations question for optimal cash


Anyone who has taken operations or workflow management classes should really be into this style game. 

There must be models or even better macros or java scripts that can be used to represent your factories, shops, and their build times and show you with which factorys and shops you have what the optimal items to produce are to make the most money selling goods on the market per minute/hour/day.

Has anyone done or seen anything like this?

I hashed out the build times for couch suit and burger in an excel sheet with how many raw items you need and how long they'll take. But this doesn't really take into consideration what might be a better item to produce for higher money influx.

Anyone seen anything?

    @grafik2 --  If the links provided by @SurlyCodger weren't exactly what you were looking for, feel free to create your own and post them to a shareable location -- perhaps Google documents -- and post the link as a response in this thread. This will help other players in the future.

    This game has only been out for about four months or so (as of the date of the first post in this thread) and there is much to do yet in the way of fan contributions, so feel free to figure out what can be figured out, and post it for everyone who plays later!

    I spent some time on this as well. It's rather complex, but I've mostly come to the following conclusion: time wise, the basic items are more profitable to produce. Nails is a very good example of this.

    I'm at level 32 and the most complex item I can build to maximize profits is the watch. This  is because it doesn't need materials produced by the other shops.

    The other issue is that the basic items are produced fairly quickly, so you need to keep restocking you shops constantly. Things start getting complex when you can't play the game for long periods of time.
