Origin Needed for SIMS

I purchased Sims Cities of Tomorrow on November 6, 2025, paid $31.89 with taxes etc.... I have played several hours. In the last few weeks every time I start Sims Cities of tomorrow everything looks ok for about 2 minutes and then i get a pop up telling me that Sims Need Origin to run and I must close out. 

I looked for Origin, but kept getting sent to download the EA app.

Anybody have an answer for this?
