Simcity 2013 launcher dosnt show and crash only in the windows 10 taskbar

It sounds to me like you have a problem with the launcher download and install itself. If it's never launched, it's probably being blocked from downloading for some reason. Check your firewall settings, make sure you are allowing SimCity.exe to go through the firewall. Also double-check your antivirus software and make sure SimCity is listed as a trusted program. Make sure you continue running as Administrator and that you have a good Internet connection, and let it run for a good long while in case the servers are just really slow.

You can try looking at the install log to see if you can find where it's failing. C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\_Installer\InstallLog.txt  If everything is fine in the install log, the patch log may have something C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityUserData\Patches\UpdateLog.txt

It also could be the Ryzen. The newest Radeon graphic drivers are not working correctly with SimCity, but they usually affect the graphics, not the launcher. The "fix" that seems to work is to install an older driver to use with SimCity. Try installing non-whql-win7-64bit-radeon-software-crimson-relive-17.6.2-june13 

(I know that installing an older driver is not an optimal solution. It's just that SimCity is an older game and EA is no longer issuing updates to it, so it will not be something they will fix. You could try seeing if AMD will do something to support SimCity and issue a fix for their newest cards and drivers.) 

If none of these work, you might have to say goodbye to SimCity. I have heard that SimCity Skylines is similar but it is still being supported. 

Yes I tried that solution back them when my PC arrived, with only Windows 10 and the drivers , install origin and simcity the problem was there. Now I disable all firewall-antivirus protección, same results.

Maybe is Ryzen but I have Spore also an the game runs fine.

My graphic card is Nvidia And I have the last driver 388.31 

I really dont want to say goodbye I have already 967hrs on Cities Skylines so I want to tried something different thats why I bought Simcity 2013 on 2017 and only play 38hrs on my old laptop.

OK, a couple of other things to try. Change your shortcut so it runs in  Administrator mode and uses the Windows 7 compatibility. Try each of these - you don't need to do the first three every time you run the game, you should only have to do them once.

I. Disable UAC:

1. Press the Windows key and X.
2. Click on Control Panel.
3. In the search box, type uac, and then click Change User Account Control settings.
4. To disable User Access Control:
   • Move the slider to the Never notify position, and then click OK.
   • If you're asked for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or provide confirmation.
   • You will need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off.
5. Once you've restarted, launch your game. 
6. Let it run for a few minutes and then exit out of the game. 
7. Search for uac again and hit Enter.
8. To re-enable User Account Control:
   • Move the slider to choose when you want to be notified, and then click OK.  
   • If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or provide confirmation.

II: Perform a clean boot, then run the game. If it works, then enable each startup program until you find which one is incompatible and blocking the game. 

III: Use SimCity Recovery tool. \Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityRecovery\SimCityRecovery.exe. Be patient, this is a targeted reinstall of the game and can take a while to complete. 

IV: Install an older graphics driver NVidia driver 342.1 works. Configure a profile to use the older driver when you launch SimCity.

The fact that you don't have SimCityUserData folder is leading me to believe that you've not been able to fully install. Something is blocking the Internet connection, or the game is failing to reach the servers. If all else fails, you could try installing the US English version, in case there's some glitch with the Spanish. I know if a city has any special characters in the name, it could fail. I've never heard of a problem specifically with install, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. The problem is that this game is no longer supported, so any weird glitches will not be patched. I hope you're able to get it running. Good Luck!

So This months I try all your suggestions, the problem is there.

1.-Disable UAC (Done)

2.- Do a Clean Boot ( December 31 Done)

3.-Use SimCity Recovery tool this dosnt exist on my pc folder or any link that redirect me to EA support. (Done)

4.- Install older Graphics. The nvidia driver 342.1 is not compatible with  my 1060. Also try the 5 last old dirver that reléase with my grafics cards. (done)

I keep trying a lot of things, I believe that the problem is on Origin, I try to install a older versión of origin but the system Update actomaticallly so I cant run a older one.

Hm, you got no response at all when you disconnected from the Internet? Well, I think what that tells us is that the game is hanging before it even tries to go to the Internet. I really hope it's the video resolution, then, because otherwise I'm going to be all out of ideas.  

1. Try reducing your screen resolution. Right-click desktop, choose screen resolution, and move it down to the lowest resolution possible. Save and exit. Then go back in and revert to the normal resolution and try launching the game.

2. If you have two or more monitors, disable any software utilities for them.

3.  Exit Origin; use task manager and end process if you can't get it to close normally. Adjust your screen resolution colors to True Colors (32 bit). (Control Panel - Appearance and Personalization - Adjust Screen Resolution - Advanced - Monitor - Colors.

4. Set Display mode to "Computer Only" Using keyboard, select Windows key + P, there should be a panel that pops up showing showing different computer screen modes. If yours is set to extend or something else, choose "Computer Only", save and relaunch Origin and SimCity

5. In Origin, right-click SimCity icon, choose Game Properties, in the command line arguments window type:  -w

"-w" is windowed mode... boot the game in windowed mode. If it launches, then go to the video settings and set to 1920 x 1080 and force the fps to 60 (or whatever matches your screen monitor settings) Go back and remove the -w command line so the game goes full screen.

I really really hope this works for you. I applaud your tenacity - I would be trying everything too. In fact, I have a new pc with a GeForce GTX 1060 that I haven't even set up yet. Keep me posted, all your troubleshooting will be very helpful for me when I try to install on my new PC.

Poor @Aithemed - I understand your frustration. I really hope we can get this sorted out. After all of this troubleshooting, I still think this is a connection problem. I will try to figure it out; maybe @EA_Mai or @MaxisBazajaytee would have some more suggestions for you if these don't work. 

First, back to the basics - Please make sure you have rebooted your router and computer. Also, make sure you have installed all the latest Microsoft Windows updates and most recent drivers for graphics card. (I know I asked you to try earlier drivers, but since that didn't work, make sure they're updated.) Make sure both Origin.exe and SimCity.exe are running as Administrator. 

Oh yes - Important! Reinstall your antivirus program (if you haven't already). Add Origin.exe and SimCity.exe to trusted programs list. You should turn it off during troubleshooting and installations, but you should not be running your computer without antivirus on it. Only the program named BitDefender conflicts with SimCity badly enough to uninstall. 

If at all possible, change from WiFi to a wired network connection. Cables are a lot more stable than WiFi, and can help prevent packet loss.

Disable proxies if you're using any.

Copy Update Files to SimCity folder. Go to Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity\SimCityUserData\Patches\UpdatedApp  Select all files (Ctrl-A) and copy (Ctrl-C). Go to \Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity and paste (Ctrl-V). Choose to overwrite any files that already exist.

Check ports. Check your router and firewall and make sure the following ports are open to SimCity and Origin: UDP - port 442  TCP - port 80, 443, 8080. You might have to Google how to make sure the ports are open; different routers have different permissions and apps to manage them. I can't tell you how to do it; either find the router manufacturer online and look it up, or maybe contact your ISP if you're using one of theirs.

Try running a different game. Pick a newer game from Origin and see if you can run it. If you can, then the problem is SimCity. If you can't, the problem is with Origin.

Run a tracert and ping to easo.ea.com. Output to text file and post it here, like you did with your install log.

     Run cmd.exe. Type "tracert easo.ea.com >C:\users\"Your_User_Name"\Desktop\trace.txt" without the quotation marks, substituting your windows user name for "Your_User_Name". That will run for a bit and then put a file called trace.txt on your desktop. If you have problems with the file, you can just have it go to C:\trace.txt and then move it wherever you'd like to keep it.

     Run cmd.exe. Type "ping easo.ea.com >C:\users\"Your_User_Name"\Desktop\ping.txt" without the quotation marks, substituting your windows user name for "Your_User_Name". That will run for a bit and then put a file called ping.txt on your desktop. If you have problems with the file, you can just have it go to C:\ping.txt and then move it wherever you'd like to keep it.

Fully uninstall and reinstall Origin. First uninstall SimCity. The link I had for how to manually uninstall SimCity is broken and I can't find it anymore. You can comfortably delete or move the SimCity folders if any are left after the uninstall, at least. You can find the directions to completely uninstall Origin here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin#hard-way. Remember to run everything as Administrator, and turn off your antivirus program when you do the installs.

As a very last resort, Uninstall Windows Creator Fall Update. I don't recommend this, but it is possible that there is a conflict with Windows 10 Creator version. I know there are many reports of driver conflicts and other problems with the Creator version of Windows. It may not be possible to revert unless you have a clean copy of the earlier version anyway. 

I hope we can get some information from the trace and ping if nothing else works. Fingers crossed!
