Simcity 5, Does Radiation ever go away?

Had a meltdown, and its been over a year.  Does the Radiation ever go away?

Guys, there is a solution. Just plop Ground Scrubbler on radiation area and watch how radiation vanishes 🙂

    Best advice I can give you, is get a refund on it, and purchase Cities: Skylines.
