i just posted the same issue 2 seconds ago glad to see im not the only one having the issue i was able to play before and than all of a sudden it just wouldnt load anymore i uninstalled and tried it again still nothing. Launcher wont come up for the update or anything it really really blows. Was having crashing issues and server issues before this too, one thing after another.
Same problem. Posted also. Running as administrator doesn't help, nor does restarting pc, or checking the installation in origin. 😕mileysad:
Ive tried all those things too and pretty much ever solution that you would normally go through for software/game issues lol I hate EA!!
Hey, SimCity won't start for me also,(won't reconise Disc2 Run.exe) so I reinstall it. during install it couldn't find patch website nor update site so ended up with two can not display on the IE. I continue installing Played for couple hours than it just escaped to desktop and lost the city. I restarted and tried to load a previous city but none was available, so I started a new city it dropped me into desktop again. restarted again this time display kept flashing and the region display showed crisscrossing static. the trouble report system couldn't get through, so I came here findout not only is my offline game is being srewed with but the online games as well.How the heck can the site games messing up mess with my offline playing?! If you guys can't keep your house together what good is it for you guys to host online games?! When you guys get it together I appreciate a email to links to patch/update/fix my offline SimCity's freakout. I want new install disc mailed to me or a install download link emailed or patches or some kind of notice to get back to playing the game, I dout you willing to refund all the players that screaming for refunds!
I don't understand it but whenever I start up SimCity, the launchers works fine, but whenever I start the actual game, it runs for a few seconds then crashes as if it doesn't want me to play, but I have the minimum spec. req. and I have a constant internet connection 😕mileymad:
Had this issue was trying to figure out the root cause for awhile..think I found part of the problem some of you are having. Go into orgingames/simcity/simcityuserdata then delete the folder for webstorage. Sometimes theres a corrupt file that holds the game from launching, hope this helps some of you out
