I’ve been playing the skate. series since day one. As a long-time skater in real life, this game is more than just a pastime for me—it’s a lifestyle. I have a major suggestion that would make the game perfect for me and the entire community: the introduction of In-Game Fingerboarding.
For us skaters, skating starts in the mind. The creativity to plan a line is the same—whether we are standing on the board or guiding it with our fingers over a curb. Many of us actually learned the technical understanding of tricks through fingerboarding first.
My vision for this feature:
- The Chill Moment: Your character can sit down anywhere (on a curb, a bench, or stairs) and use the controller's thumbsticks to perform technical fingerboard tricks.
- The Connection: It bridges the gap between reality and the game world. It shows that skate. understands that skating is a universal language that works everywhere—even while sitting on a sidewalk.
- Community Vibe: Imagine hanging out at spots with friends, just "fingering" while waiting for the next run. It would add incredible depth and authenticity to the social experience.
As someone who has been on a real board for years, I feel that both worlds belong together. It has always been a dream of mine to see this reflected in the skate. franchise.
