I don’t mind the pay 500 rip chips to get access for 24 hours but what could be fun is that you pay for a ticket to go and once you’re on the island you do a set of challenges to get a sponsor and if you don’t complete those challenges within 24 hours you will have to pay to go back to re do them, maybe you also only have 3 attempts every ticket you buy, with premium members you get unlimited attempts to give premium a benefit for being premium
once you completed the challenges you get to stay on the island for free for a week and each week you get 1-2 challenges to complete to get a sponsor and the longer you have a sponsor the higher tier you have so bronze silver gold for an example and let’s say bronze you gain 5 rip chips silver is 10 and gold is 15 as a bonus.
and with each tier you have a time limit so if you’re on gold and you don’t complete 1 weeks challenge you go back down to silver 2 weeks bronze and then 3 weeks you lose your bonus and you’ll have to pay 500 rip chips to go back to get your sponsor again, but if you go down from gold to bronze and then start doing the challenges again you’ll start going back up with each week you complete the challenges.
If you believe this would conflict with a different idea you have with sponsors then remember that skaters and many other sporting athletes like BMX and so on have multiple sponsors so you could have this sponsor as not as a skating brand but a drink brand, and with the stadium in brickswitch that could be a board sponsor brand, just so it doesn’t conflict with future ideas.
I believe this idea will promote the need to keep returning to the game which all games needs and wants people to do and i believe gives a fun aspect to it.
So you prefer the current system they have? I thought this would be a good middle ground

i like where you are going with it, it just sounds complex and requiring of up keep that would split the priorities on challenges between Grom and San Vansterdam. we already have slow slow roll outs and repeats of new challenges in SV so Grom having its own cycle of challenges sounds kind of like a dev nightmare. we’ll see how long Grom remains popular or if it’s like the tunnels and loses it’s luster over time.
personally i wanted Grom to be visitable without a taxi, like within the same map area as SV.

Yeah I get what you’re saying, as maybe it could be like own the lot, as a challenge that happens only once a week but since it’s in early access I understand the limited amount of challenges so hopefully each season they add more and more, so let’s say they only add 5 challenges in total which it can cycle through weekly so 1 per week and hopefully each season they could add 1 or 2 new ones into that cycle so you feel less of a repeat
