Hello, I want to ask why I can't open boxes when I have coins. And if so, how can I fix it? Thank you in advance for your answer.

This is a known issue and, as stated in our Community-Raised Issues thread, it is being investigated.
Meanwhile, you can try the workaround to solve your problem.
- Content | Duplicate Product Boxes appearing for all three neighborhoods in the store with an “Insufficient Funds” error if opened. | Boxes Blocked
- Workaround: Traveling from San Van to Isle of Grom or vice versa resolves this
