You’re losing players. Listen to them.

Respectfully y’all gotta step it up. Reskate is out now and you can already see people ditching skate for it. It honestly sucks seeing people leave but at the same time, I can’t really blame them.

Cater to what people actually want. We don’t need massive stunt maps every update. Give us more actual street spots, better customisation, weather control, proper day/night cycles, board customisation, more ways to make the city feel alive ect

The community has been asking for this stuff for ages. Reskate showing what’s possible just makes it even more obvious. If you actually listened to what players are asking for and gave us more freedom to play the way we want, I genuinely think you’d have way more people sticking with this game.

There’s still so much potential here, but you’ve gotta start giving people a reason to stay. I adore this game, but it gets to a point

I haven't seen anyone ditching Skate for Reskate and I'm not worried about that as a possibility, it's a novelty that will surely lose it's appeal. Session and SkaterXL combined have below 200 concurrent players at their daily 24h peak, games with deep modding scenes. Skate meanwhile hit 5,000+ concurrent players yesterday on Steam. Mods and freedom, does not a good game make.

On the matter of maps, the clips on social media that get the most views are always the giant gaps and glitches. The way I see it, SUMR Camp was built with those in mind, it's a strategy to grow the game. The majority of people that play this game just see the map as a bunch of stuff in the way between the giant ramps and rolling waves skatepark.

SUMR camp was actually teased in the Season 3 skate pass as a player icon, and I believe that SUMR camp was originally meant to be the season 4 map but they managed to get the X Games on-board early in the map's creation and so they switched what they were working on, with the benefit of it being easier to put together and giving them more time to work on SUMR camp.

They do actually add street spots to the game, they added the parking garage last season which was very popular, I saw a bunch of meets happen there and I still go back there quite frequently. The RINQ building they're adding in the mid-season patch, is the first major rework of an area in the game since it's Early Access launch. We have very little information on it, and I believe the photo we have of the building was taken here.

I think the game's biggest problem is really it's treatment of newer players (returning and freshies) and it's poor tutorialising. Most players push mongo and don't know how to pump, that's a big failure on the game's part to create an exciting enough introduction and I hope they keep up the changes to trim the fat and make sure the wheels don't stop rolling for any reason in the first 2-4 hours.
