Stop trying to merge online and offline challenges & events. Yes, they dropped the ball by not adding a complete offline mode, and you are totally right that there should be one. But let multiplayer community challenges/events be what they are.
If they add a bigger offline mode, that should come with its own challenges, as did the Arcade and Campaign modes. It would be nowhere near fair play to unlock everything by beating up the dumb AI, then go to multiplayer and try out the new gear on other players. It would also be funny to say that you took part in the community event - by playing alone against bots.
You realise you have 40+ days to complete the 50 kills/class event? Days. Don't tell me that it is so hard to play 10 hours of GA during more than a month, it is the only mode worth playing outside SA anyway. (Edit: but for this challenge, just play Blast, you can complete the whole thing in a day.)
I see what you are "fighting" for here, but don't make ridiculous points, the lack of offline content is a problem that the devs should be concerned about, but not being able to complete really simple challenges is a personal problem, not one caused by the game.
Last week just after Christmas the EA Servers were down for a bit making it impossible to play Starfighter Assault and Galactic Assault since those modes are online modes.
Is this what the developers really want? For the game modes they worked so hard on to become completely unplayable because of server problems?
Anyone that would answer Yes to that needs to go visit a psychologist because no one in their right mind would say Yes to that!
We want to be able to experience all of the cool things the developers at DICE and Criterion did to make these modes great but that will not be good if we have to rely on internet connections to do so.
That is why Starfighter and Galactic Assaults need to be added to Arcade mode with ALL of their maps as soon as possible !!!
