I experience random crashing in both single-player and multi-player. There is no error message, the game simply closes. However, it appears that crash dump files are generated; I can provide them o...
Hello,
Since patch 0.2, the game crash at launch, in menus, during loading times and with Alt + Tab to return to the desktop.
(this solution only works for users of Windows 10 version 1709, for version 1703 feel free to confirm).
I specify that my PC is up to date, the drivers of my motherboard have been updated on the manufacturer's site, the Nvidia graphics driver is version 388.31 Whql.
I don't have any program running in the background, Origin in Game is off,GeForce Experience is uninstalled.
Here is the solution which worked for me:
you have to disable the option: "Show game bar when i play full screen windows games Microsoft has verified"
https://cloud.addictivetips.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/turn-off-game-bar.jpg
You can also disable everything if you dont use the gamebar: http://www.mediaforma.com/uneminuteparjour/windows10/images/windows-10-desactiver-barre-de-jeux-2.jpg
Precision: If you activate the game mode in the game bar for each game you play, (you have to press the key Windows + G when you start a game)
once the game bar is disable, the game mode remains active.
I hope this solution will work for you.
Feel Free to give me your feeback regarding this post.
(Sorry for my english)
Have a nice day and have a good game 🙂

Holy *, it actually works! It fixes all issues described in this post: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Crash-on-alt-tab-when-using-DX11-native-resolution-w-Full-Screen/m-p/6447532#M3198
Now GSync works on DX11 again and i can alt tab without crashing the drivers. Thanks again!
With pleasure for help, I hope this post will help other players 🙂
I was really hoping this worked, since I had it on but it did nothing sadly.
Make sure everything in the gaming section is turned off, both checkmarks and the game bar set to Off.
It works! Thank you so much!!!
Can confirm, it works. But the question still remains what did the patch change that caused these problems and will it be fixed in the next patch? I hope so, we will see I guess :-)
Thx for the solution!
Very Good News !
Have a good game on Star Wars Battlefront 2 😎
where do u turn off all the stuff u want off?
@oneshottakilla, you can disable all the options here
(if you are on Windows 10 1709 or 1703) :

my BF2 crashes while trying to load the main screen, I'm on windows 10 but I don't have gaming in my options. Still no fix
This no longer works as of patch 1.2. I'm stuck in crash to desktop loop. Deleting settings doesn't work anymore. reinstalled, repaired.. Nothing.
Turning off Game Bar on Windows 10 and all it's settings worked for me - No more crashes.
Game started crashing since the first patch after early release too... Silly how something like this can cause so many issues!
Glad we've found a way around it, it was driving me insane.

Have a good game on SWBF2 😉
If disable the game bar didn't work,
motherboard drivers are very important to update on the manufacturer's site (Audio / LAN / Sata / Chipset)
or with this website, that automatically detects the latest versions of drivers to install: https://www.driverscloud.com/en/start
Try different versions of graphics drivers if you notice a crash or slowdowns with a newer version.
Cut ALL programs in the background before playing, many conflict with the games.
Uninstall Geforce Experience and AMD Gaming Evolved (Raptr).
Update Directx and Vcredist packs.
Copy / Paste the game folder in "Documents", delete it and restart the game
On a laptop you have to make sure of these points:
It must be left connected to the mains when you play, put on "High Performance" in the power options,
and put the .exe of the game on "Nvidia High Performance Processor" in the Nvidia Control Panel like this:

Disable Origin in Game:
Open Origin
Click on "Origin" at the top left
Application settings
Click on the "More" tab on the right / Origin in game
And put on "Off" on "Activate Origin in Game"
