Thanks.
Any news, updates, comments about the measures being taken on the server side against cheating hackers who are breaking the lobby? I brought you couple of fresh examples of their 'work'.
Please - look at the video at this reddit post.
All this is still happening (to date, including today, May 4th). You constantly write the same advice: send a complaint through the EA App, but please - watch the video carefully and tell us how to determine who did this in the game (I mean by which nickname what user accelerated the AT-AT's in the game and missed a whole phase)? The point is that this is not recorded in the game in any way. An unknown player interferes with the game with his cheats, the players do not know who did it - what profile to complain about? There are dozens people in the lobby - how to understand who cheated?
What's happening today, May 4th: most of the day the lobbies in 'Galactic Assault' are broken from the start of the game, the cinematic camera starts almost immediately (the camera flies through the entire map). Meanwhile, the chat displays yellow messages (from the server administrator! - see attached screenshots) with advertising messages about some account on social networks. In the only video on the channel on the profile that is advertised, you can see such comments. What do you propose to do in this case? In the lobbies that were destroyed from the start today, there was no player with the same nickname that is shown in the game chat - about what player should I send a report to (and this 'someone' wrote in comments on YouTube that they will continue to do this)?
Please pay attention to the main points of this topic and these multiple messages:
- Cheaters (hackers) have learned to hide their nicknames in the game chat thanks to game exploits and/or the lack of a secure environment on the servers - I mean, how did they learn to interfere in the lobby that is created on the server (potentially, SWBF2 servers are not protected from outside interference)?
- Cheaters may not play in the lobby, but only enter it, break the script of its operation and exit it - the broken lobby will remain so, and the unknown cheater may no longer be in the lobby. They destroy and leave, while the broken lobby remains broken due to interference.
- Now you are proposing to solve the consequences, but the problem itself is not being solved - cheaters continue to break the lobby, why they can write in the chat as server administrators and interfere with the game script? It turns out that they interfere with the operation of the servers, which is probably written and prohibited in ToS/EULA, and EA turns a blind eye to this problem? Since none of community manager have yet given an official comment on those cases when it is unknown who broke the lobby and it is unclear about what player to send a complaint to.
Please react already - cheaters are destroying the most popular modes in game ('Supremacy' and 'Galactic Assault'), the nicknames of the cheaters are unknown, and about what player-cheater to send a report to is also unknown. What should other players do in this case and what steps are being taken or will be taken to ensure the safe operation of SWBF2 servers?
