However I am now wondering if this doesn’t happen after we have reached a certain level with the cards, like the number of purple ones we have for example... This also slows down the progression of players who have played a lot as we stopped opening crates and are now stocking the credits...

I am also affected, but only for three or four days now. First I didn't really check, but when I bought a crate with my last money and got three three duplicates and thus should have gotten 600 credits but saw that my balance was still nearly zero, I started to memorize my balance before and after the purchase of a crate. And apparently I never receive the 200 credits for a duplicate card any more.
I wonder if it is connected with the fact that I bought the Deluxe Edition Upgrade also three or four days ago at amazon and applied it to my account. I have the feeling that it might be connected, since I got a lot of purple cards out of the Deluxe Upgrade. The timing is at least very close together. - Anonymous8 years agoI bought a standard version (download ps4) This issue doesn't related any version and furthermore any particular platforms (ps4, xbox, pc) all.
Again, it did not exist when the game has launched 2 month ago and it started one month ago in my case.
I guess it could relate to first major update Last Jedi, but I doubt not because there are some people before me and just like you expriencing dup. matter few days ago.
So, in my conclusion if EA do not fix this most of BF2 users in this earth gonna affected just like Zombie virus.
EA at least better make any announcement of this do not underestimate all that miserable stupid credit stuff we're missing for every funny crate. - 8 years ago
Duplicate in my daily crate again this AM, gave me credit while in the crate opening screen, went away when transitioning back to the main screen. Some rumors of a patch coming (possibly tomorrow), hopefully it's more than just wishful thinking. An update on progress would be nice @EA_David

Where did you "hear" the rumors about the patch? Do you have a link maybe. In that case I would refrain from calling the EA customer support, because I have the feeling that this forum here won't do much good if I look at the size of the thread and take into account how old this bug actually already is.

No Duplicates for me still too. Mine never credits me at all though. I haven;t seen it credit and then take it back like some of you guys.

I guess a patch was twitter'd out by one of the devs. I don't use twitter so I don't know if it a fact. But, I guess they said something to the effect that it might get patched tomorrow or next week, and that we may or may not get or lost credits back.
Not holding my breath on either. Since this BUG has been around since DAY 1. There are posts about it on Nov 16th. Over two months to fix such a major bug is hilarious. Only other game I know of that had a major bug that took months to fix was Star Wars Galaxies with the rubberband issue. Note: It was players that fixed that! So maybe EA is hoping players fix this!?!? What a joke!
And, there is zero news from anyone on any credits on the inconvenience of the players affected who have lost credits, had to play disadvantaged, and wasted their time submitting and posting to EA.
I'm going to submit a 1099 employment work order to EA and possibly sue them for my WORK. Billing at a reasonal $50 dollars per hour unless I get my lost credits back, and $100 worth of crystals or equivalent crerits as compensation. Which is 100% since EA asks that we report and submit these bugs. Which legally makes us 1099 employees.
Without remedy here I'll get legal remedy in the courts. And, their EULA is trash since there's an issue over forced consent to something I own and then they want me to license from them, claiming they own it after the fact. Which is a non monetary from of extortion. By law I own a picture, book, movie, etc when I buy it... EULA's with software and games create an inconsistency in the law. And, that voids the law! Just the facts!!!

P.S. Oh, another game that had major bugs that took months to fix was... Drum roll... Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Online. With several game stopping bugs with a couple of the classes having Broken Main Quests. Female Bounty Hunter was the one that stands out the most. But, at least you have several characters and you could just play a different one in the mean time.
I guess it really seams to be Star Wars games I've had major issues with. Maybe I should not buy an more Star Wars games. And, EA games top the list of games with problems. The Sims (who'e series), Battlefield 4, and a bunch of others. Maybe I shouldn't buy EA games... And, EA Star Wars Games is like jumping out of a plane with a parachute packed by a homeless guy!?!?

- 8 years ago"Rumors" are just what have been posted by other members on the boards. Unsourced comments, further up in this same thread though. Nothing from any of the devs as far as I'm aware as I think they're afraid to give any confirmation other than "we're aware of the issue."

@grimmace2 I hope there is a patch today. If there isn't I think I am done with this game altogether. (Yes it's a defeatist attitude, but my sunny disposition can only take so much.)
It is demoralizing to have the same issue day after day. I had it yesterday as well as today. The daily crate will show credit for one duplicate but disappear into the transition of the main menu. I also tested a couple Hero crates and they did close to the same thing. Its only exception, when it had 5 items within. A Blue (dupe), Green (dupe), Green (dupe), 35 Parts, 100 credits, not showing credit for the 800, but showing the two 400 then disappearing as I transition to the main menu. That is only 1600 credits of possibly 100,000 or more than I have now lost forever? (Not holding my breath that any of us get any of our backlog of credits.)
I truly think that this website, EA ANSWERS HQ was designed to be a place to distract people from their problems and keep them distracted from the issue. Since I started posting here about a month ago, I have yet to interact with anyone associated with EA. I have posted @ to EA staff like Atic and David. But none of them have stated directly, "Paodok, we have the information we need and someone is working on." I don't think that is too much to ask for, simple confirmation of the post and then words stating the problem is being worked on. Instead, we have to guess if some "magical patch" is coming through and wonder will it actually fix our problem or make it worse again! I'm still shocked how badly this has been handled. If you see the posts I did where I informed other people who have our same problem to come to this thread. That example ould be followed by EA to inform us. It took some time to do, but it was worth getting us all on the same page (pun intended.) You cannot tell me that someone at EA couldn't do the same thing where I tagged those people in the posts.
This started off as an annoyance with the repeated message for the "I give up" emote... (that emote being the issue is so poetic if you think about it.) As well as the Error 2,495. Now it has become a different animal that has consumed so much of my time and it has left me disappointed daily for a game that I had so much hope for. I really feel like part of me is dying because of how underwhelmed I have become to a franchise that I once poured every dollar into. I was alive (4 years old) when the first movie came out "The Star Wars". I went with my family and from the moment I left the theater, I was hooked. I bought every toy made, every EU book I could get my hands on and sadly, I even geeked out and played the RPG board games of Star Wars. I guess, in the end, my only choice is follow this new Disney mantra (who are trying to make this franchise about the NEW generation.) Disney seems to be echoing the tagline of the last movie: "Let the past die, KILL IT if you have too." I will reluctantly let that part of my past die and let the next generation spend its "fanatic money" on the franchise. I think they will feel the pinch in their bottom line if there are more people like myself, doing the same.
Sorry for the rant, I am sure in the end I won't give up on this franchise, but I do feel like more CARE should have been put into the process of fixing these issues.

I's indeed demoralizing to have this issue every day.
Almost 6 weeks now for me.
Called the EA customer support twice and the only thing they say is that it will be fixed but they couldn't give a solution time.
Tomorrow it's Tuesday and let's hope that there will be a patch to fix this. More and more gamers are affected by this bug.

Few years ago star wars the old republic was released I left world of Warcraft and lots of friends behind in a heartbeat only to eventually leave the game because of ea,s love for the cartel market which became the whole point .skidious was my character .now I can't stand to even think about playing it

@grimmace2 Yes it looks like this is recent for you. I can see a duplicate with the matching refund for you on the 16th, but not after that.
Hopefully this will help with nailing why accounts are getting put into this state. it's probably not a factor, but would you have played your game on another person's console after the 16th at any point?

Here is a list of everyone whom has posted at least once this thread. That is 56 individual members on EA Answers HQ on this thread alone with the "duplicate" star cards not being properly credited to the profile of the person playing. That is 56 persons who purchased EA Star Wars Battlefront II, mostly the Elite Trooper Deluxe Version on any platform either by digital download or retail Boxed disc. At the very minimum that is $ 3,359.44 non tax dollars for just 56 "Base" game revenue or $ 4,479.44 for the Elite Edition if all 56 purchased it.
Again fifty-six (56) people here on this thread alone who have posted a "bug" and are still waiting for the game to play as it should. Many of us have been waiting since November 17th 2017. November 17th 2017 is over 65 days ago, or rather 60 days counting Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day and Martin Luther King Jr Day. Regardless that is 60 days where the game is by definition "Defective"
Many of the people here, including myself have provided video, screen shots as evidence or chatted with EA directly about this issue. Many of us are out of options, withholding crates, not progressing because of EA, yes blaming EA for taking away another form of progressing with purchasing credits. And I should state to everyone that my post, with other retail outlets withdrawing "Target selling Star Wars Battlefront II 2100 Crystal Packs " the ones still on the shelves DO NOT WORK Blackhawk network Redemption.

@mysweetescape13 Thank you for taking the time to tag all the people in this post. I can only imagine how long that took you. We all appreciate the hard work that those of us who being constructive and looking for a solution. Many of us have full-time jobs, or multiple jobs, family obligations, kid obligations, etc. Doing all this to get noticed is doing something "extra" and it is time consuming. At the very least it infringes on our gaming time.

So I still have to wait to buy some crates (over 100.000 credits saved).......

Thank you for goin out of your way to write these messages, For all of us with this issue this has gone on way to long, Its just a joke that EA/DICE lack this much effort to paying customers, This kind of bug is game breaking for all of us.
130,000 credits unused because this is still a problem I've recorded many box openings for proof but EA has enough already. EA's greed really shows with the lack of communication and bug fixes with this game. - 8 years ago
