Empty servers to play BF2 - any response from EA?

Thank you.  I tried their proposed temporary workaround of disconnecting from EA server while in game, and then reconnecting. This did not solve the problem - still empty servers. They seem to be addressing the saved-ping-preference issue in particular.

@dr_reliefThere's more than a few people with the same issue. Restoring default ping results in error 1066 or dead empty lobbies. I can still connect to a game by launching a search and going to options EA accounts and changing the ping to my second preferred ping site then sitting in the EA accounts screen with the 2nd preferred ping site selected until a game launches. I'll tell you now though it doesn't work every time and even if it does work the connection is 💩. it worked at the weekend I tried two or three games and just said f**k this as the game was almost unplayable with lag and stuttering. I wish for the sake of every other person trying to play the game it was down to my connection but I know that's not the case with a 200mb/s direct ethernet to my console and ping of only 21ms. So just in case try not to get your hopes up if you can connect to a game.

Iv been playing this game nearly everyday since it came out,I love it,but the last 2 days it searches and searches and can't find a game for me,even this ea site took ages to load up for me to whinge like this,what's happening?
