When I open the game, the shaders can take up to ten minutes to optimize. Them when they finally do optimize, the screen goes into a black and a white stripe then does the intro videos... But stutters a lot when it does. After that, when the game actually loads, I don`t have a cursor (but I`m able to click) and I get like 30 fps (I can run GTA 5 with a steady 50 fps). I`ve redownloaded the game and the problems are still there...

Hi there,
Up until the September update my Battlefront 2 (PC) was working absolutely fine. However since the update I have been experiencing extremely bad stuttering and FPS drops. These issues only occur in the menu and once I've spawned, however after the initial stutter once I've spawned it seems more or less fine. Due to the issues I'm experiencing I'm pretty much unable to change character in a match due to the menu stutter. I'm also noticed that it mainly seems to be for lightsaber heroes (including Palpatine) , blaster heroes don't seem to be affected by it too much.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I've tried pretty much every solution I've found online but unfortunately to no avail.
I've attached my specs, and apologies in advance as my tech knowledge is pretty poor.

Is it possible for you to update to the latest build of Window 10? You're a couple builds behind and we've seen users improve FPS after installing the latest updates.Search "Windows Updates" in the desktop search bar to check for pending updates.
Here's some basic steps below if you haven't tried anything listed in there. Let us know what happens. 👍

Hello guys
Just to say after today's update I have had a massive hit to fps where the gpu is running at 100% and memory was fully being used. I have a 8700k processor with rtx 2080 and 16gb RAM and my fps was going to 10 to 20 fps. Updated drivers and everything without prevail. I turned off dx12 and everything went back to normal with 4gb vram usage. Went back to dx12 and went to crap again. This is the first time I have had to turn off dx12 in battlefront 2 so there looks to be a bug in the game.
