Free SWBF2 from Epic Games replaced my own SWBF2

I have purchased SW Battlefront II Standart Edition many times ago. It wasn't called standart or anything back then. When Epic Games gave away free copies of Celebration Edition I got one.

In Origin they were both seperate entries so it was pretty much hassle free. But in EA App, I couldn't find my own version. Regardless I installed SWBF2 and launched the game without any issues for a couple of times. But today, it refused to launch and said that I need Epic Games Launcher for to playing it. I have tried to launch it directly from .exe but didn't work.

Library says "Standart Edition accessed through Epic" but also shows that I own Celebration Edition Upgrade, which also says "accessed through Epic". Thus forced me to download EGL, even though it was working fine until today.

It seems like Standart Edition I have paid money for is gone and replaced by free EGS Celebration Edition copy. Is there something I do about this? I would like to evade EG Launcher.

    Loads of posts in this forum regarding trying to play the game from different launchers. Generally, you need to uninstall the game and ALL launchers, then reinstall the launcher for the company where you got the version you want to play. If this doesn't work, you need to contact tech support for that company. As it sounds like you want to play the EA version, you would contact EA support directly.

    Feel free to search this forum for "epic", as well. Like I said, loads of existing posts, some of which may help, if above doesn't work out for you.
