Friend visible in EA app, but not in Battlefront 2

My son and I are both launching Battlefront 2 via the EA app, from two different accounts, and we show up as friends in the EA app, on both computers.  When my son launches Battlefront 2, he can see me and invite me.  However, in my Battlefront 2, I do not see the invites, and no friends show up.

I tried unfriending him, and re-requesting, which he accepted, but he still does not appear in the friends list inside the game.  We both have tried quitting and restarting the game multiple times.  Multiplayer in other EA games such as Battlefield 5 is working fine.

  • EA App Error ID: N/A, no error appears, just empty friend list
  • Your Platform and Gen and your friends: Windows 10
  • Are EA App Privacy settings set to public for all? (Y/N): Y
  • If importing friends, are the Privacy settings on PC/Console profiles set to public? (Y/N): Y
  • Have you blocked one another before? No
  • Is cross-play turned on, if applicable? N/A
  • Screenshot(s)? (Y/N): N
  • Additional information: see description above
  • Thank you!  The problem ended up resolving itself after signing all the way out of my EA account and then back in again, and then restarting the game after that.

    Hey @BigMacSwimmer,

Just to clarify, have you checked the privacy settings for both accounts on this page to be sure you both have the same settings?

As he's able to see you but you can't see him, we'd want to check those settings although this only appears to be happening in this game.

From there you'd also want to double-check that you're both on the latest version of the game. It may help to try a cache clear of the EA app before repairing/reinstalling the game itself to be sure the app hadn't missed any updates.

  • Thank you!  The problem ended up resolving itself after signing all the way out of my EA account and then back in again, and then restarting the game after that.

@BigMacSwimmer   Well done.  Was going to suggest that you sign out.  Good catch.

Thanks for using the EA AHQ to discuss and solve your problem.  This is going to help others as well!.

    Have a great day!.

Glad to hear that was a relatively easy solution in the end @BigMacSwimmer, thanks for dropping back in with the update!
