When Din talked about Mandalore being poisoned, he may have been referring to how he viewed the situation based on his ties to the Watch.
In a Bounty Hunting handbook addressed to Boba (Not canon? I'm not sure.) The leader of the Deathwatch cult at that time had written about how Mandalore was being destroyed by its own people. It was kind of a cultural divergence. That DeathWatch were - in their own opinion - the salvation of a dying society based on specific ' ' ancient values.' ' (Jango goes out of his way to write-in excerpts claiming that the Visla character - ' 'writer' ' of this stuff was occasionally lying/was a liar/Jango killed him. )
If the Children of the Watch are the next generation of the Death Watch with revised policies & goals then it makes sense they'd continue to inform their charges that Mandalore was decaying from within due to traditions being abandoned.
Sabine Wren (Of Mandalore..?) ended up making weapons for The Empire that would specifically harm wearers within Beskar armor, but then she turned to the Rebels, and I think as a result, conflicts between the Empire and Mandalore intensified, Wren managed to reverse the destructive weapons' attention to target Storm Trooper armor... Which I think was made out of Durasteel...? Which sounds like it'd be a bad idea to do because EVERYTHING is Durasteel so ...?? 0_o;;
I'm not sure what happens after that, but the events that occur from beyond this point seem to stem from actions that go against what may or may not be potential goals for specific clans vying for political power... Which is indicated by Din's choice of words. Imo.

Anyways... I think Operation Cinder was just an Easter Egg to reference the Story Mode of SWBF 2 2017 (EA). Maybe it isn't directly related to Din's story/ other than the fact that Din has 'May around at that point, who is expressing his own background story.
'May serves as a cautionary example of ' 'why the Empire sucks.' ' - from an Imperial's perspective. 'May revealing this part of his past provides insight for Din (& the audience) to acknowledge that the Empire are villains 100%.

When 'May & Din were passing through the local impoverished village & Din looked into the eyes of one of the locals & fixated on them.
It reminded me... Jacen Syndulla might be a potential force Sensitive to answer Grogu's call?(I was trying to forget he existed.)Luke states, I'm a Jedi, like my father before me.
I'm not sure if force sensitivity can be passed down... but if it can, then...
Jacen Syndulla might become force sensitive - since his father was a Jedi.
