My star wars battlefront 2 will not launch on pc and origin will refresh

Every time i try start my star wars battlefront 2 which is on epic games, it will take around ten seconds to do anything and then origin will refresh. Ive tried reinstalling battlefront and origin an...

    Ive now fixed my game by typing into windows search "environment variables" and opening the first choice. i then clicked environment variables and deleted the entry GAME_DATA_DIR. i then restarted my pc and battlefront worked

unfortunately thse steps did not work for me. I may add that this happened quite a while ago which resulted in me stop playing the game and i reinstalled it recently to see if the problem had gone
