Problem with mouse and keyboard

Hello

I am on W10 and use a mouse and keyboard. However since the patch today I get into the main menu and it's as if it the game now thinks I am using an Xbox controller or something (i dont have one). My mouse cursor has gone and the options at the top says press LB or RB and to quit the game or do something it's A or B. If I press Escape my screen flashes very fast and I can see my mouse cursor flashing also.

The only at I can quite is by Ctrl-Alt-Del an even then my screen goes black for maybe 20-30 seconds. Up until the patch today it was fine. Any ideas??

I also have been waiting for an update or something as well. Have exactly the same problem since the last update and can only task manager kill process and check the next day.

  • Yep, same problem. I've spent hours on my own and on the phone with tech support. No joy☹️

Same issues here. Do you guys use AMD? I'm wondering if the resent driver update for my AMD Radeon(TM) R7 Graphics Card that released the same time as the Battlefront II update has anything to do with it...

  • Dunno, but I just spent ANOTHER hour with tech support telling me over and over "Let me check my specialists" then coming back to ask me to do the same things that I had already done the LAST THREE TIMES I talked with them... >☹️

If I may ask...what did they tell you to do?

  • Uninstall, and reinstall.
    Clean boot.
Turn off Cloud saving, delete your folder in documents and restart.
    Try different keyoards and mice.
    Try different USB ports.
    make sure drivers are current.
    Delete and reinstall drivers.
    Turn off AV.

Every single time the same stuff.

And I did much more to no avail. Uninstall video drivers and reinstall etc.

Oddly I just picked up Assasins Creed Black Sails and I am having the same issue with it.

    Battlefront 1 runs fine.

  • No difference with a clean boot. This rig is purely for gaming so no TeamViewer.

    Problem solved!

I have an older HOTAS  Saitek X-45.
I had moved it to various USB ports, but never removed it.
    Removing that fixed the issue.
I suggest removing any USB devices that you are not using for the game.
