Why does my aim assist not working?

I’ve been playing Battlefront 2 for about a year now and I’ve noticed that the aim assist works for others but in my case It doesn’t make much difference compared without it. Is my game broken? Or where is this pay to win that enhances your overall abilities?

    So I was messing around with the options and turned off the aim assist since it was useless. After like 3-4 days playing without aim assist I decided to turned it on, * it and to my amazement it made my aiming a lot smoother. I’m not sure if this is just my Xbox or game but I definitely felt a difference. Hope this helps

    @Mothman17Aim assist is a very mild effect. I notice it most when I’m aiming at someone and another enemy runs in front of the person I’m aiming at, dragging my reticle with them.

    @ryanrocketsci That would be true if there wasn’t people hip firing you from across the map getting head shots every time. I’ve tried messing with the sensitivity but no luck
