Why is the physical copy of battlefront 2 unavailable to purchase?

When i go tonpreorder SW Battlefront 2 on amazon it tells me its unavailable(pic attached) why is this, does anyone know? I am aware that other retailers are selling it but i have credit i can only us...

I assume it’s because Amazon offers 20% off of physical game preorders and for games that are less than two weeks old and EA doesn’t want to miss out on any money. So you either buy a code, or you buy a disc somewhere you have to pay full price.

if thats true well stuff like that encourages me to buy used as there are tons of other great games to chose from, still unavailable on amazon which is a bummer due to day of release shipping etc
