For 1 I believe so, I mean I am really hoping there will be a hotfix to fix the matchmaking issues caused by the update. Then Ben (F8RGE) on reddit announced that they would look into lowering the requirements to unlock the darth maul skin & event skins. So I think there will be some bug patches & maybe balancing patches in the future but no idea if there actually will be lol.
For 2 the way that I have interpreted is that. They worded/wrote it like that for the just in case scenario, that they could jump back into/onto on the game. Though I would assume this is the last major content update. If there is somehow anymore content I would assume it would just be skins or something. Since they said there would still be events & etc.
@exiledrose I would be very disappointed if the game wasn't going to be fixed. On another note, I would very much like DICE to return to this game sometime in the future to add more content (maps, heroes, reinforcements, etc.), although the chances of that happening are very low.
