Star Wars Battlefront II - Release Notes - April Hotfix
In this hotfix we’re focusing our efforts on a few balance changes that were really impacting Ewok Hunt, as well as a specific crash fix on the Xbox One.
CHANGES:
- Fixed a crash issue on Xbox One
- Fixed a lighting issue in a cave on Endor affecting Ewok Hunt
- Fixed an issue with Troopers being able to climb trees in Ewok Hunt
- Fixed an issue where the Specialist’s Infiltration Ability was not highlighting enemies on the mini-map

Star Wars Battlefront II - Release Notes - Han Solo Season Update
HEROES AND VILLAINS:
Captain Phasma
Captain Phasma's STAFF STRIKES should be easier to hit and chain to an enemy. Since it's easier to connect now, we needed to remove some advantages on the two first strikes. We will still be keeping the incentive to land all 3 strikes as each strike is more powerful than the previous one. We'll monitor if it feels strong enough, but Captain Phasma should be much more enjoyable to play.- Added the closing functionality to all Phasma's staff strikes
- Reduced the damage of the first strike from 150 to 120
- Removing the push effect on the two first attacks
- Captain Phasma's FIRST ORDER SENTRY DROID now progressively self-repairs after 6 seconds of not taking damage, instead of instantly repairing
Luke Skywalker
Lightsaber Attacks
Luke did not feel as in control of his lightsaber as he should since he has slightly slower swings than some other lightsaber users. We'll look at improving the damage if the current buff doesn't prove to be enough for him but we'd like to see the results of these changes.- Reduced the cost of melee for Luke increasing his max amount of swings from full stamina from 8 to 10
Push
This is the first change to add different damage values for Heroes and other Units. It felt like Luke was the perfect Character to start with as both Push and Repulse were very weak against non-Hero enemies. The base damage of both abilities still needed to be improved for combat against opposing Heroes.
- Added non-Hero specific damage to Luke's PUSH at 150
- Increased PUSH damage to Heroes from 65 to 90
- Added Non-Hero specific damage to REPULSE at 130
- Increased REPULSE damage to Heroes from 50 to 75
Dash
- Players can now move a few frames earlier after using the Dash ability
Leia Organa
Defender Alt-Fire
The Defender Pistol Alt-fire was too damaging for the short charge up time and getting hit by it from afar was very frustrating. This is a first pass on balancing; we'll see how it changes her efficiency as we'd still like her to be a great ranged defensive character.- Reduced the Defender Alt-fire damage from 175 to 145
- Reduced Leia's Defender Alt-fire explosion radius from 2 to 1 meters
- Reduced Leia's Defender Alt-fire targeting angle from 3.5 to 2 degrees
- Corrected text on Leia's "Relentless Firing" Star Card that referred to bullets instead of blaster bolts
- Leia now receives the proper amount of health from the "For the Rebellion" Star Card
- Fixed an issue when the Defender didn't play the fire animation as it fired
Emperor Palpatine
Health Regeneration
Palpatine's sustainability was way too high with both his health regeneration and the Lightning Absorbtion Star Card. His health regeneration was higher than melee characters and for a range character (even if closer than blaster users) that let him not care much about taking damage.- Reduced health regeneration from 300 to 250
Lightning Absorption Star Card
The health regeneration on the Lightning Absorbtion Star Card was too high. especially when hitting grouped-up troopers. With this change we want Emperor Palpatine players to care more about their positioning and rely less on easy regeneration.- Reduced amount of health regenerated by the Lightning Absorption Star Card by 5 on all rarities
Dual Hand Lightning
Dual hand lightning had the same angle as the single hand one and it was way too easy to deal heavy damage on enemies without having to target them.- Reduced the targeting angle from dual hand lightning from 14 to 10
Lando Calrissian
X8-NIGHT SNIPER
Pulling the trigger on the X8 was quite high for a light pistol, we reduced it to give the weapon a lighter feel on consoles.- Reduced weight to pull the trigger of the X8-Night sniper from 70% to 50%
Han Solo
- Han Solo can no longer throw multiple Detonite Charges while being hit by a lightsaber
Iden Versio
- The Shield Sustain Star Card now activates for the proper amount of time
- Sound properly plays when dodging again
LIGHTSABER HEROES
General Changes
Lightsaber Air Attacks
- Fixed an issue where lightsaber wielding heroes could damage a deflecting hero by attacking while airborne.
- Now lightsaber heroes get staggered when attacking a deflecting character while airborne.
Lightsaber Damage
With the short damage delay, lightsaber attacks felt better for the attacker but not for the player receiving the damage. We've increased that delay slightly in an attempt to get the best result for both players.- Increased lightsaber damage delay from 0.06 to 0.09 seconds
CLASSES, SPECIAL UNITS, & VEHICLES:
General Changes
Dodge
We're aware of the stuns locks from lightsabers and we wanted to make the dodge stronger without making it as strong as it was before.
With this change, we are first unifying the dodges. Some characters, like Yoda, didn't have the same speed and distance for their dodge and that put them at a high disadvantage. All of the dodges for force users are now similar and all dodges for blaster users are the same.
The second part was to get away from stuns locks. To that effect, you are now unstaggerable and immune to melee damage from the start of the dodge (It was a few frames in from before). This is a shorter time than it was on release (it was the whole animation back then) but still enough to feel that you can avoid being damaged.
Please feedback on this change as we're hoping it will improve the fighting experience while not lowering the lightsaber efficiency too much.- Unified dodge lengths among Force using characters to 5.5 meters
- Unified dodge lengths among blaster wielding characters (Including Troopers) to 4.75 meters
- Dodge now makes characters unstaggerable from the first frame and for a longer time.
- Dodge now makes characters immune to Lightsaber, melee, or Phasma's Staff Strikes damage while unstaggerable (first frames of the animation)
Stagger
There was a few frames in the animation that felt static and where it felt like the characters could start moving. As such we’ve allowed movement and dodge earlier in the staggered animation after hitting a blocking lightsaber.
Flame Trooper- Fixed a visual issue with how the Flame Trooper's Flame Grenade was exploding
- Using the FORTIFY ability will no longer disable idle animations
AT-ST
- Fixed an issue with the AT-ST having their lights on even when it was sunny
GAME MODES AND LOCATIONS:
GALACTIC ASSAULT- Fixed an issue where the player was able to use the LUIV beyond Phase 1 on Starkiller Base
- Fixed an issue where the Ion Grenade exploded in mid-air before reaching the AT-AT or MTT
ARCADE
- Removed a spawn location that was outside the combat area on Yavin 4
HEROES VS VILLAINS
- Fixed an issue where both factions spawned in the same spot on the Death Star
- Fixed an issue where Rebel Heroes spawned outside the combat area on the Death Star II
STARFIGHTER ASSAULT
- Defeated and rank-up text should no longer overlap in Starfighter Assault
- Fixed an issue where the camera got stuck after the player respawns as a Bomber
EWOK HUNT
- Fixed an issue where the shuttle did not touch down on the ground
- Fixed an issue with respawning if the player restarted while outside the combat area
- Fixed an issue where players wouldn't respawn as an Ewok after being killed by a trap
- Fixed an issue where incendiary grenades would sometimes not light up the surrounding area
- Tweaked the flash light to make it easier to see pickups
- Fixed a visual artifact that occured while using the flash light
- Fixed an issue where the Enforcer's Star Cards would appear when spawning as an Ewok
- Fixed an issue where Ewok Hunt timed challenges where not shown in the end of round screen
- The audio for "Enemy Down" is now properly localized in Ewok Hunt
LOCATIONS
- Fixed a lighting issue on Naboo
- Improved collision on Bespin
- Improved collision on Death Star II
- Improved collision handling in Kashyyyk
- Fixed visual artifacts on Endor
- Fixed a lighting issue on Crait
- Improved some visuals on Crait

GENERAL CHANGES:
Appearances- When Luke is wearing his Hoth Appearance the weapon icon will now showcase the proper lightsaber

Animation
- Polished Ewok animations
- Polished Twilek animations
- Polished Han Solo's animations
- Polished Lando's animations
- Polished Quarren's animations
In-game Messaging
- Tweaked in-game messaging for elimination and assist messages to make them more distinct
Milestones & Challenges
- Fixed an issue with Trooper Milestone "Stay True" not tracking properly with usage of the "Hardened Infiltration" Star Card
- Darth Vader's "All Too Easy" Milestone should now progress properly
- Fixed an issue where the Arcade Milestone "The Force is with You" remains stuck with the yellow check mark after completion
- Fixed an issue with the progress bar for the "EHDA YUHYI EEDEEZA" milestone
- Various challenge bug fixes
Crates
- Fixed an issue where the game would freeze if you had too many unopened Crates when launching the game
- Fixed an issue where the player could not see what was in the "Troopers Victory Crate"
- Fixed an issue with the Leia Organa's "You Have Your Moments Emote Crate" not being retroactively granted after the Progression Update
MISC FIXES:
- Fixed an issue in the end of round screen where the player is not informed that they have already reached the maximum Class Rank on a Class that they played in the previous round
- Tweaked the AT-AT's Orbital Strike to make it easier to use
- Fixed a bug where no audio would play for a few seconds after skipping the intro logos
- Improvements to Ansel integration
- Fixed an issue with the Milestone tile in Home
- Fixed an issue where the confirmation button would have no description when highlighting the Milestone tile
- Fixed an issue in the end of round screen where it would appear you are rewarded with a Skill Point even if you had reached the max amount
- Various crash fixes
- Enabled LogiTech LED Extension
KNOWN ISSUES:
- Chewbacca's Wounded Appearance has incorrect lore text

Also mann muß ja auch mal loben dürfen, vielen Dank an das Team das die Ladezeiten des Spieles so unfassbar verkürzt hat. :eahigh_file:
Desweiteren besten dank für das neue Menu, sieht wirklich besser aus als die pseudo Holo Grafik.
Der neue Modus gefällt mir persöhnlich auch sehr gut und das Ewok Hunt bestand hat ist ebenso gut.
Bitte keine Patches mehr nur noch mehr Content 😉

Star Wars Battlefront II - Release Notes - May Hotfix
In this hotfix we’ve made a change to pre-round timers get you into matches faster. On top of that we’ve fixed an issue where equipped Hero Emotes were not triggering, as well as fixing the Rank up bug which prevented users from getting the Rank 50 Achievement / Trophy. We’ve also fixed a few other issues.
CHANGES:
- Lowered pre-round timer on all Game Modes from 60 to 45 seconds; Hero Showdown has been reduced to 20 seconds
- Fixed a bug where players wouldn’t receive their Rank based Achievement / Trophy on the correct level, preventing players from getting the Rank 50 version
- Fixed a bug where the player inside the AT-AT could be killed by many of Emperor Palpatine’s abilities
- Fixed a bug where Leia Organa’s Boushh Appearance was not triggering the correct voice when triggering an Emote in-game
- Fixed a bug where equipped Hero Emotes would not trigger
- Lowered the enemies defeated requirements for Weekly Challenges from 10 to 5
- Further improvements to hitting the target with Darth Maul’s FURIOUS THROW Ability
- Fixed a few crash / player stuck issues

GENERAL- Fixed an issue where an equipped Trooper Appearance was not applied when deploying into Vehicles
LOCK-ON SYSTEM
- Updated the lock-on logic to now warn a player whenever an item is locking-on to them, not just when the weapon has already locked-on
ASSAULT
- Combat Roll is blocked for a brief period when activating TOUGHEN UP so as to prevent discrepancies between animation, audio, and the Ability's activation
HEAVY
- Fixed an issue where the Marksman Star Card incorrectly reset the Sentry Ability duration on headshot kills; Marksman is only intended to affect heat-based weapons
- Gave the Ion Torpedo 3 shots per magazine instead of 1 to make it more reliable against air targets
- Increased Ion Torpedo damage to make it more reliable against vehicles overall
OFFICER
- Slightly reduced damage of the SE-44C and Blurrg-1120 with the intention to make these less viable in a situation where an Assault Rifle should be better suited
- Slightly reduced the flash duration of the FLASH GRENADE
- Fixed an issue where the IMPROVED FLASH GRENADE inadvertently caused a longer flash duration than the default version
SPECIALIST
Health Changes
We've increased the Specialist's health to be in line with the Officer and Assault classes. The intent with this change is to bring the Specialist's kill/death ratio up in line with the other Trooper Classes and to give Specialists the chance to improve their average score-per-minute as both values were the lowest of all the classes.- Base health increased from 100 to 150
- Health regeneration per second decreased from 60 to 30
Sprint Recovery
When looking at the Specialist, one thing to note is that the intended gameplay is not for players to sprint and fire. As such we've slightly increased the sprint recovery penalty with all Specialist primary weapons. This now means that a Specialist will be somewhat slower to fire the first shot with their primary weapon when coming out of sprint. This should also give other classes (except Heavy) a slight advantage when sprinting around a corner and suddenly meeting an enemy Specialist. For reference, the sprint recovery speeds are stack-ranked per weapon type as follows:- Pistols (Officer)
- Rifles (Assault)
- Longblasters (Specialist)
- Heavy blasters (Heavy)
AERIALS
- Reduced deploy time on rocket launchers from 1 to 0.8 seconds to make the timing, from activation to firing, snappier
- Increased the time the player has control over the jump pack, giving them better air control while in the air
GAME MODES AND LOCATIONS:
GALACTIC ASSAULT- Fixed an issue on PC where after shooting the MTT with the ION Disruptor, a "Playing the Objective" scoring event was shown after each respawn
- Improved player rewards for completing objectives on the map
ARCADE
- Fixed an issue where the Last Stand effect was not working on Jabba's Palace if one enemy was killed before dying
- Fixed an issue with the Starfighter Arcade end-of-round screen where after a round of Starfighter Arcade had been completed the "Challenge Summary" screen was blank
- Fixed an issue on Co-op Battle Scenarios where the enemy AI didn't engage the player at first sight
- Fixed an issue in Starfighter Arcade - Onslaught where if one of the players was in the deploy screen after being defeated, time and kills were not tracked for either player
- Fixed an issue in the Tutorial Mission where the AI would randomly die without any reason
- Fixed an issue in split-screen where one of the players would not be able to deploy with any Character if both players tried to deploy with the same Hero at the start
HEROES VS VILLAINS
- Fixed an issue on Takodana where Boba Fett could reach an invisible collision platform behind the castle where no other Hero could get to
- Fixed an issue where players were sometimes respawned near enemies
HERO SHOWDOWN
- Revised the HUD to show the timer permanently and changed the countdown timer circle to count each second when there is 30 seconds left
- Now if time ends and both teams have the same score, it's a draw
JETPACK CARGO

EWOK HUNT
- Polished the Ewok jump attack
- Updated audio near the end of a match to build up when the shuttle comes
- Reduced the starting Score bonus for the first Ewok
- Created a different crosshair color when under the effects of VALIANT HORN
- Revised crate pickup locations so that there are less weapons in the cave
- Fixed an issue where sometimes a Stormtrooper would change to an Ewok after dying by his own grenade
- Decreased the hut interaction area, so that Ewoks don't activate the hut entrance by accident
- Added in-world markers to the treetop exits for Ewoks to provide a better understanding of which door to take
LOCATIONS
- Improved the combat area for both Hero Showdown and Heroes vs. Villains on Endor
- Improved the spawn area for Imperials on Hoth during Strike
- Fixed an issue where jumping up on and behind some pipes would get the player stuck on Jabba's Palace
- Fixed an issue where Yoda could get stuck between the Rancor body and the cave wall on Jabba's Palace
- Added the missing Gamorrean Guards in Jabba's Palace
GENERAL CHANGES:
- Added Animation to the XP bar when ranking up
- Implement additional matchmaking information in the end-of-round
- Fixed an issue on consoles where players could encounter an infinite black loading screen if quitting the server when the planet was shown during the end-of-round
- Fixed an issue on PC where Chewbacca couldn't use any Emote in Arcade if the Wookie Smuggler appearance was equipped
- Adjusted the Credit pay out for time spent in match by reducing the Time bonus by 20% in order to give more weight to actions during a match

Star Wars Battlefront II - Release Notes - August Patch
Emperor Palpatine and Ewok Hunt are back! The issues that required us to temporarily disable both have been fixed in this patch. In addition to that we’ve deployed balancing updates to lightsaber heroes in Galactic Assault that should make them viable again. We also addressed the stuttering upon hard-lock issue in Hero Starfighters.
CHANGES:
- Palpatine has been added back to the game
- Fixed an issue with Palpatine being very overpowered by restricting the angle from which the player could lock on with his lighting ability
- Fixed an issue with Palpatine being able to lock onto targets through walls
- Ewok Hunt has been added back to the game
- Fixed an issue in Ewok Hunt where Stormtroopers were unable to board the shuttle
- Rebalanced stamina for lightsaber heroes
- Fixed an issue in Hero Starfighters on PC where players experienced a short stuttering before being locked on
- Fixed an issue with Extraction where objective markers were misplaced on Kessel and Jabba’s Palace

zu dem neuen Patch kann ich hier mal meinen Dampf ablassen. Was sich EA hier wieder geleistet hat ist unter aller Sau. Das Spiel hat echt wieder spass gemacht und dann kommt der Scheiß Imperator zurück. Bei dem hat sich gar nichts geändert der schieß nach wie vor durch Wände. Sowas als Bugfixes zu verkaufen ist wirklich das letzte. Zudem ist es wieder möglich den gleichen Helden zu wählen. Versucht mal ein Team aus 4 Imperatoren zu töten. Hier sieht man mal, daß EA eigentlich nur FIFA wichtig ist. Ich bin sowas von enteuscht von EA. ich könnte echt kotzen. Ich empfehle den Imperator wieder so schnell wie möglich zu entfernen. Die Teams waren im letzten Monat super ausgeglichen und es hat spass gemacht. Bei so einem Mist hab ich keine Lust mehr. Ich bitte EA wirklich die Ausgeglichenheit wieder herzustellen. und so einen Patch nicht als Verbesserung zu verkaufen. Bei so einem Support sollte EA keinen mehr machen. Sollte sich daran nichts ändern war es das für mich.
