My buddy and I were just discussing this... Who would have thought that in our mid 40s we’d still be playing video games?
It’s just a reality of our generation and I’m sure generations moving forward.
The original X-Wing DOS game was the reason I convinced my father to buy me a 486 in college. That investment has paid off though... considering my parents still call me to help them fix their printer. I remember fondly the day my dear old mother asked “what’s ‘right click?’”
I remember my brother in law hounding me about I should buy a computer, they do so much more than a game console. I bought a Gateway System with a 2 GB Hard Drive and a Color Printer for $2K shipped no tax. Then I bought XvT shortly after, playing on a dial up modem. We're talking almost 25 years ago. Now you can get a 2TB System and printer under $500.
