Battlefront (1) PS4 offline - can't join to EA servers (Nov 2019, PS4 FW 7.0)

It is actually an update to other similar posts marked as "solved" because nothing from their "solutions" worked for me. Game shows my PSN avatar in the upper left corner, tries to connect to EA acc and shows this (pic.) everytime. I never played it on PS4 (only on PC, witout problems) - I bought it few days ago as the PS4 Hoth Bundle.

PS4 Pro, firmware 7.00 (tried with Pro functions enabled/disabled)

Game servers should be online - confirmed by EA support
My accounts (PSN and EA) were connected long ago without problems and I have no bans/restrictions - confirmed by EA support

PS trophies work.

Tried to:

1) open all necessary PS4 and SWBF ports mentioned on EA help site (UDP/TCP)

2) turn off firewall on router

3) use Google public DNS (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4)

4) connect 2 different networks - cable LAN with router and cellphone WIFI

5) complete reboot of PS4 with default setup, deleting SWBF data (local+online), reconnection of PSN, verification of licenses, re-download of the game

6) change the EA account password

7) switch the BF mobile companion to PSN account - that is interesting; it shows my PSN account! but contains no progress data because the game does not sync with EA

all with turning off of PS4 and router before new setup

especially fact, that the problem persists on both networks (cable, mobile) points to SWBF game issue (online or program) because all other games incl. EA's UFC 3 or Battlefront 2 have no connection errors...

EA support told me to go in PS4 Safe mode and rebuild the database...which I see as a hardcore option when everything else works. So any other tips before that pls?


My opinion is, this game needs an update for the latest firmware. DOOM 3 (PS4) was also unable to connect to the Bethesda network recently, to gain the Doom Eternal bonus skin. After a game update week ago it worked like a charm...

    My ea account will not connect whilst playing battlefront on my ps4 any soloitions?

    This is all mine game keeps saying on battle front im signed in on eagames and my inter net connection is brilliant so can u help me this is all it keeps saying but can play any other ea games

    I have been trying for the past two days to play Star Wars Battlefront on my Xbox One. 

    I have not been able to sign in to the online part of the game. I keep getting error message:

    "You must be signed in to your EA account to access online features"

    I have tried every solution on this site to get it to work as well as every possible thing chat support has asked me to.

    Nothing has worked, I've seen other people on Answers HQ have this same issue but no one has really reported it fixed. 

    Has anyone found a solution for this? Things I have tried:

    • Reset Game
    • Reset Xbox
    • Reset Internet
    • Reset EA password
    • Cleared Persistent storage
    • Cleared MAC address settings
    • Uninstall, Re-Install Game
    • Activated Verification Sign In
    • Unlinked my Xbox to EA account and Re-Linked
    • Signed in to EA site using Xbox credentials 
    • Deleted and re-downloaded my gamertag
    • Made the Xbox I'm playing on my home Xbox

    Absolutely nothing has worked. Is this an issue that just goes away on it's own?

    If anyone can help me and find a solution that would be appreciated.

    This game is over 4 years old. You would think there would be a solution to this already -.-

    If it matters, I am playing on an xbox one x, wireless, game is owned on disc, and only my gamertag is 

    the only one that cannot access the game, other gamertags on my console can. 😞

    I got free month of origin access, so i downloaded stw 2015 and then when im in game i cant log in to go to multiplayer, it tell me " be connected with ur ea account" i restarted like 5 times the game, relaunched origin as well, ill now try to reboot pc but i dont think it gonna change anything, so help me plz

    I am also having the same issue, Purchased the hoth bundle on sale on psn store and can't play battlefront online. My ea account is connected, changed email password but still not working, Hope you can tell me fix for this.

    Echoing the same issues and frustrations. Battlefront II worked multiplayer earlier but since installing SWBF1 I have not been able to get it to login to EA no matter what steps I've tried

    I have this as well. It's a deal breaker.

    I was thinking of buying Battlefront II as well, but I won't be until this gets resolved ☹️

    Having the same issue - do you have an estimated time until this is resolved?  What is a reasonable expectation to wait?
