  • @tchecheBind a control to divert power to engines. Typically it's a hold to divert all power, tap for small power to engines. You HAVE to have the engine power indicator to maximum. There will be some 5 bars indicator around throttle gauge that slowly fill up to show how much boost you have. When you have them filled press your boost button to boost.

Depending on if you have boost set in controls to hold or press / release, you will have to either hold the boost button again, or press/release and then move the stick -> you will drift.

Best settings are 'hold' for drift and press/release to boost.

  • I'm having a similar issue. Drifting on PS4 is incredibly difficult. I understand how to drift - overcharge engines until 1 to 5 Boost indicators light up, click L3 to activate Boost, then Hold L3 while turning (yaw). Here's the problem (#1):  Pressing and holding L3 is VERY DIFFICULT on a PS4 controller. I've tried two practically new controllers - we got it in June, and rarely use L3 on any games. Both require extreme pressure to "Hold" L3. Clicking is easy, so I end up turning Boost on and off instead of Drifting....

Problem #2:  Drift function won't remap. I can remap every other function. But, not Drift. So even if my controllers L3 were a problem, Drift is greyed out and won't remap. That's a DEFINITE bug/problem.... I can "Edit" Drift and select another button (e.g., down on the D-pad, the balance engines function), and the game tells me Balance Engines is unbound from down D-pad; but the Drift function doesn't actually save to the new button.

Please fix! This is a very cool feature that I'm sure makes the game MUCH more playable and enjoyable. (Btw, despite my (default?) profile picture, I'm an over-30, adult man. I possess the physical strength to press L3 - this function stinks on that button, and it won't move.)
