Can't play with joystick alone on XBox One (with classic controller turned off)
When playing on XBox One with a joystick (Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS One for example), there's a big playability issue :
- It's impossible to launch the game with the joystick alone: the very 1st screen asks to press A (or X to switch profile), but neither the A or X buttons are registered from the joystick.
- So we're forced to turn on a classic controller (pad), just to press A or X.
- Afterwards, all the in-game menus and actions can be used wih the joystick alone, so the controller is of no use and we might as well turn it off to save the batteries.
- But if the controller is turned off, the game pauses and asks for it to be turned on again to continue !
- So we could let the controller on... but then the same happens every 15 mn or so, as the controller turns off automatically (since it's not used in the game) !!
So we're either forced to manually think about keeping the controller awake every few minutes, or plug it to the XBox to prevent it from going to sleep.
This has been reported since day one on Reddit, and maybe here too, but I wanted to make sure it was not forgotten.
This is a huge problem for Xbox One players, and shouldn't too hard to fix since there's other games that manage to do it (Ace Combat 7 for example).
It has been fixed in Nov. 25th update, yeah !! 😎
