    @reaperL5D I don't know if you were able get your issue resolved but the issue I experienced was fixed switching the xbox one controller off bluetooth and back to usb.

Are you on a laptop if you are there is a problem with laptops when gaming where it doesn't run stuff good when it isn't plugged in so try plugging it in with the charger maybe?
