Re: Prime Games Knights of the Old Republic

HI @DeloskyGA To confirm for the KOTOR game currently on offer with Prime Gaming, it will be linked to the Prime account that was logged in when you select  "Claim".

Once done you will need to use the Amazon Games App (client) to sign in, download, and launch KOTOR. This is something offered and handled by Amazon and not EA.

This is not something we can change or edit either here on the forums or through EA Support.

If your account also has a subscription tied to it, you would simply need to log in and claim the game as well.

If not, I would suggest checking out Amazon's Prime Gaming Support page or contacting Amazon support.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, this is exactly the opposite of what Amazon is telling me.  They say they cannot do anything about it and I have to contact the developer.  Like I mentioned, my wife is currently the claimer of the single claimed game.  But she doesn't play games and I don't login to the Amazon Games app with her account.

So there's nothing I can do at this point.

    Hi @DeloskyGA

To confirm the free games offered by Amazon is done so through their Prime Game Subscription.

While the free games are redeemed in various ways (like redeeming a code on the Epic Game Store or EA app Clients), some of the games are directly tied to their own PC client the Amazon Games App

While EA published and Developed (along with others) KOTOR we don't have any control over the Amazon subscription or the Amazon Games app (which is where the game is owned).

You can see this If you select the "How to Play" option this will provide the following steps:

    1) Download the Amazon Games App (Windows)
    2) Install the app
    3) Sign in with your Amazon account
    4) Claim and play games

Based on the information in your initial post, it seems your wife's Amazon account holds the Prime Subscription (which would give you access to the Twitch/prime games) but your Twitch account is linked to it for the Twitch/Prime rewards.

However, KOTOR (like some of the other free games) is tied to the Amazon account that has the Prime Subscription. So once you select redeem, you only have to sign into the Amazon account that redeemed it in order to download and play.

The case that only one Account/Profile can claim the game, Download it, and launch may be a restriction through Prime Game and the Amazon Games App. While we understand your frustration neither of these restrictions is something we control or can change here on the forums or through EA support.

It's possible it may be feedback you can share with Amazon, but if their support advised this is how their service functions you may need to play the game through your wife's account.

    Cheers!
