Squadrons Patch Oct 21 2021 (Where's the notes?)

Where the heck are the patch notes?  The patch weighs 5.4 GB!

There are no patch notes even on steam.  The only place that shows exactly what was change without notes is here:https://steamdb.info/patchnotes/7477038/

    Thanks for your visit to the forums!

    Although this patch was indeed somewhat big, it was actually a rather 'small' patch that was deployed to support the latest generation of Intel CPUs. 🙂

    No other changes were included.

    "Rather small patch" you say?

    So please, kindly explain why my updated was 21 GB plus a follow up 21.27 GB after the first one finished downloading, I'll take my answer off the air.

    @Sr_Chatto, that is exactly what I mentioned with "small". While the update size might be large, the only change/update that it included was the extra support the latest generation of Intel CPUs.

    Why the size of the update is bigger than you would like; this is unfortunately how it works. I also wonder why you mention that it needed to download a whopping 21GB, while the update on my system was only a couple of GB. Did you maybe skip an update in the past?

    @EA_Leeuw So, like...0 bug fixes? I can name at least 10 pretty big ones off of the top of my head that players have been begging to be fixed for almost a year now.

    My patch was 21.27GB too.

    I haven't missed any previous updates.

    This is really poor.

    It's too bad they couldn't sneak in a fix or improvement or two, but making the game work on the new Intel CPUs with P and E Cores at all was important (the Anti Cheat Software of Squadrons would've blocked playing on said CPUs otherwise as has happened with other games with various Anti-Cheat Software).
