Is there an actual solution to this problem? I have the same issue. Even on the menu connecting my controller drops framerate to single digits. Turning the controller off immediately returns frames to the 120hz limiter. Having to plug in a wireless controller is not a solution.
I am having the same issue. I am using an Xbox One S controller via bluetooth. Randomly, it drops to 4 fps. Disconnecting the controller jumps the fps up to normal for me. Reconnecting the controller does not immediately cause performance issues, but it never happens without the controller connected. This makes no sense to me. I am fairly savvy, and I cannot see why there would be any sort of connection between using a controller wirelessly vs wired that would affect the frame rate. ESPECIALLY when this game was allegedly intended for controller. You would expect that there would have been extensive bug testing done here.
