(BUG) Prospector's Folly: Mountain Ascent - Can't Proceed Game

I had something similar. However, I couldn't even get passed the hangar gate. When I fast traveled next to the hangar there were no enemies and the gate remained shut. I fixed this by just killing myself by repetitively falling off the nearby deck.

By the way, you are only intended to proceed further in this area if you are going through story. The story line objective's last word being "observatory" (don't want to spoil it).
