I have 18 hours in the game already, didn't have any problems with crashes until the second update which seemed to cause the game to crash on optimizing game files every time it launches. Any help would be appreciated!
Specs - Ryzen 3600, 32gb RAM, 3070ti, installed on M.2 SSD.
I've already tried -
- Run as administrator and disable full screen optimizations
- Repaired game through the EA app
- Cleared cache on EA app
- Cleared DXcache
- Reinstalled graphics driver
Crash Log message -

Hi @Joereevo Can we try a few more steps and check if this continues?
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings
- Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Install/Repair your VC++ files for Jedi Survivor
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance

Tried those solutions and still can't seem to get the game to launch. I'm not running any apps that I wasn't running for the first 18 hours of gameplay. Any other ideas?

@JoereevoAlt tab out until it reaches the main menu. I know it’s inconvenient but for some reason it works rather consistently.
- 3 years ago@aotpClench No luck with this unfortunately, did you wait until it got to the optimizing screen?

I wait until it reaches the main menu. I’ve had a few instances where it would crash at the optimization screen, I usually close out and run these steps
i overclock cpu and gpu
windows+r enter “temp” delete the files it will allow you to
windows+r enter “%temp%”delete the files it will allow you to
windows+r enter “prefetch”delete the files it will allow you to
then re-open the game alt+tab outif you reach the main menu, immediately go into your settings>visual settings> everything on low and ultra performance.

Having the same issue but on PS5. I’ve cleared cache, database rebuild, all patches, deleted save data, reinstalled the game three times and I still cannot get past the loading screen but more recently even the HDR settings page on start up. Extremely frustrating to pay $70 for a game and two weeks later it is still completely unplayable. EA please fix this

I'm having the same issue. Just installed the latest update today and the game just crashes back to desktop at the optimizing game files when launching.
I'm attempting to reinstall now and will update after it's done.

Same thing after reinstalling.

Same issue after todays latest update. I still can't play the game.
- 3 years ago@Joereevo I have been battling this as well. I cannot not even get logged in long enough to even play the game. Very frustrated
